More than half of the project was financed through a low-interest loan from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) for $360,000 that was made possible thanks to support from Western Iowa Networks (WIN) and their partner, Aureon. Janssen says the remain funds were generated through tremendous support from the community. City officials thank all the businesses and residents who helped make this project a reality. The current plan is for the Breda pool to be open every day until school starts in August. They will then transition to weekends only through Labor Day. To celebrate the reopening, the Breda Community Club is sponsoring a free admission weekend on Saturday, July 31 and Sunday, Aug. 1 with a free ice cream treat for guests.
