New Malden Station car park receives upgrade New Malden station car park has had a 'major' overhaul to make it safer and easier for drivers and pedestrians to use. Working with Transport for London and Kingston Borough Council, South Western Railway has fully resurfaced and reconfigured the car park so that drivers can enter, park and exit as conveniently as possible. To improve safety, SWR and TfL relocated the station’s bus stop to an alternative location and put in place a new walking route which is set to help customers navigate the car park with ease. The £55,000 upgrade was funded mainly through SWR’s Customer and Communities Improvement Fund (CCIF), which supports projects that have a community benefit across the company’s network.
