A Sydney office worker who commutes from Hobart says flying to his job is easier than when he used to drive in from the city's outskirts. Urban planning Professor Peter Phibbs moved to Tasmania to live with his partner associate Professor Daphne Habibis, both 66, during the pandemic as workplaces introduced flexible working arrangements. Like many new tree and sea changers, he is mostly working from home and travelling to work less often but at a greater distance - making the commute to his office at the University of Sydney once every one or two weeks.
