"It would have killed us": Mum grateful despite flat fire

THE Malvern mum left in temporary accommodation 15 miles from home is thanking her lucky stars.
Lucy Wiggett, 27, will need to arrange 30-mile round trips each day for her daughters to go to nursery over the next month having been relocated to Droitwich while her private rented flat is refurbished.
She has lost much of her personal possessions and those of her children but Miss Wiggett is simply grateful to be alive following the blaze in Watkins Way, Poolbrook on Sunday.
“It would have killed us, me and the kids,” she said.
“I am just so glad it did not happen in the middle of the night because we would not be here now.”
