Tacoma bar fined again for COVID-19 violations American Tavern in Tacoma. (KIRO 7) After two citations and two warnings for COVID-19 violations, on April 13, the Liquor & Cannabis Board announced a $500 fine or five-day suspension of operations for An American Tavern, located in Tacoma. The Liquor & Cannabis Board is currently investigating 17 complaints for the bar from last weekend alone. These are not the bar’s first complaints for flouting the governor’s COVID-19 rules, and neighbors are concerned the customers are spreading the coronavirus. In October 2020, KIRO 7 and The News Tribune reported on several more infractions that led to an inspection on Oct. 15, when an LCB officer noted there was no enforcement of social distancing.
