By Tyler Bass on June 2, 2021 Tacos Vamonos has opened its location in the Hayes Shopping Center. Here is a promotional photo of regular taco deluxe and a soft taco deluxe. Located in the Hayes Shopping Center is one of Gloucester’s newest restaurants, Tacos Vamonos. Tacos Vamonos opened on Feb. 28, with a grand opening held on May 5. The restaurant is the second for owner Dave Coman who also owns Viking Burger in Newport News. Tacos Vamonos general manager Deanna Collar said that Coman wanted to open the restaurant to make food that reflects his upbringing in New Mexico. Collar said that Gloucester was an ideal place to open the restaurant because she saw it as a challenging market. If Tacos Vamonos succeeds in Gloucester then it could succeed elsewhere, she said.
