Wishing to cultivate mental well-being during these difficult times? Let's take a break and join "Wednesday Pause", a session of mindfulness meditation conducted via Zoom every Wednesday at 11.30am, free of charge.
Presented by Kindermind Center, a social purpose organisation, in collaboration with Singapore's Kampung Admiralty, the 30-minute session is aimed at cultivating calmness, inner peace and resilience. It's suitable for everyone without prior meditation experience and also advanced practitioners.
Mindfulness is about present moment awareness without judgement and these sessions draw on the principles of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT). Approved by the National Health Service in England as an alternative treatment to antidepressants, MBCT is also useful for anyone dealing with stress.
