CADILLAC, MI -- The cold may be daunting, but winter is a great time to fish in Michigan.
If trekking out onto a frozen lake or river, drilling a hole and waiting for fish to swim by is new to you, the DNR Outdoor Skills Academy has you covered with Hard Water School classes that will boost your ice fishing know-how.
Introductory ice fishing classes are coming to the Carl T. Johnson Hunting and Fishing Center at Mitchell State Park in Cadillac. The one-day class will run on Feb. 20 and March 6.
