March 05, 2021 DECATUR, Ill.- Busy families looking to save time and stress are purchasing electric pressure cookers, a safer alternative to the traditional stovetop pressure cooker. But while electric pressure cookers might be safer, learning how to use them is often a daunting task. Illinois Extension's Cookin’ In An Instant is a free, six-week virtual program that offers the opportunity for anyone to learn how to safely use an electric pressure cooker and the built-in features. The series is designed for beginners, but all levels are welcome. This weekly virtual series meets from 12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Thursdays beginning April 1 and ending May 6. In between each meet-up, participants' "homework" is to make the week's recipe and report back on successes and challenges. Participants will need to provide their own pressure cooker and food supplies.
