From The Tribune staff reports TARRANT — A Tarrant man who was critically injured in a weekend assault has died, and a homicide investigation is now underway. On Wednesday, the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 74-year-old Michael Ryan Berry, who was found wounded last Saturday in the 1200 block of Hanover Street in Tarrant. The Tarrant man was transported to UAB Hospital on Saturday, Jan. 16 and according to the coroner’s office, he was pronounced dead at 2:44 p.m. on Tuesday.
