TBI probes shooting involving officers The Oak Ridger At the request of 9th District Attorney General Russell Johnson, TBI special agents are investigating the circumstances that led to an officer-involved shooting Sunday in Morgan County. Paul Crass, 22, of Harriman, was shot in the incident and taken to a local hospital for treatment, according to a Tennessee Bureau of Investigation news release. His condition was not given in the release. Preliminary information indicates at approximately 5:30 p.m., deputies with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call of reports of a man with a gun in the 200 block of Coal Hill Road in Harriman, the release stated. When deputies arrived, they reportedly made contact with Crass, who was armed, and a standoff occurred.
