Rowan Thompson, 17, had just returned from a jog with his mother Joanna Thompson when he attacked her at their home in Hampshire village of Hambledon, a U.K. Court heard during an inquest. After strangling his mother, Rowan took a 15-minute break, only to return and stab her 38 times in the forehead, 64 times in the neck, and 16 times in an arm.
