Bridgewater Big Ex The Big Ex has officially been canceled as a result of health and safety protocols that would limit the scale of the event. Last week, the Exhibition Association of Nova Scotia announced that large-scale exhibitions wouldn’t take place, but smaller events would be allowed. The executive of The Big Ex voted to cancel the event this week and they decided putting on smaller events wouldn’t be worth it. President of The Big Ex, Tommy Mailman says they didn’t see a way they could have a profitable event under the current circumstances. “To put on a great exhibition and have a great space for it like us you need a lot of people to attend and obviously with the rules in place that wasn’t a possibility.”
