JULY 11 — Recently, an article in Bloomberg Malaysia Is Staggering Down the Road to Failed Statehood has raised eyebrows in the country. The author says systemic failures, particularly in managing the Covid-19 pandemic, will see the country going down the path of “failed states”. According to the Oxford dictionary, a “failed state” is one whose “political or economic system has become so weak that the government is no longer in control”.
