0:50 Between now and May 17th the public is encouraged to learn about, and comment on plans to improve Illinois 146 in Johnson County. Carrie Nelson, with the Illinois Department of Transportation says the work will involve widening 146 from the Vienna City park to the junction of Red Bud Lane and Old Metropolis Road. Nelson says they've heard concerns about safety in that area. "The city had a lot of complaints about about the safety at the intersection of Illinois 146 and Old Metropolis Road."
