Staff Photo/Paul Franz HOULE Published: 3/2/2021 6:20:37 PM GREENFIELD — The School Committee and administrators continue to explore what needs to be done to reopen classrooms for in-person learning for all students in April. “As we think about bringing all students back to in-person learning, we feel more urgency,” Greenfield interim Superintendent Judith Houle said Monday evening at a special School Committee meeting. “We want to get back sooner rather than later, and the state wants the same.” After receiving a petition signed by more than 500 people, the School Committee talked about reopening to all students last month and decided it would do what it needed to open for all students by April 26, although Gov. Charlie Baker and state education officials are putting pressure on schools across the state to reopen, at least to elementary school students, by early April.
