Brendan McDermid/Reuters The SEC is seeking permanent injunctive relief and civil monetary penalties against each defendant. AT&T said that the allegations it revealed material information are "meritless." The Securities and Exchange Commission filed a lawsuit against AT&T and three of its investor relations executives for allegedly revealing nonpublic information to analysts to avoid missing revenue estimates in 2016.
