Students are caught in a Catch-22: they cannot live in their accommodation because of Covid restrictions, but they cannot stop paying for it

For university students, the Coronavirus pandemic has had aggravating and frustrating consequences. Remote learning has become the norm yet tuition fees have not been discounted.
And Government support has felt slow in coming: a series of interventions late last year including  £20 million for student hardship in England and £174 million put towards student support across the UK, due to the work of the National Union of Students.
