The Women’s Network empowers college students to take professional matters into their own hands

The Women's Network started with a chapter at SU’s campus, with the purpose of providing young women with professional and personal development opportunities. The network later expanded to neighboring Cornell University in Ithaca. Now, they have 42 chapters across the country with over 16,000 members.

These were some of the questions that swirled in Jamie Vinick’s mind when she attended a 2017 Syracuse University event where a powerful female bank executive was slated to speak. To Vinick’s disappointment, no one asked any questions related to gender in the workplace.
