The production, which was staged at the Nancy Marine Studio Theatre in Torrington, tackled “Silent Sky.” The play was written by American playwright Laura Gunderson and was first produced in 2011.
“Silent Sky” tells the true story of 19th century astronomer Henrietta Leavitt. Leavitt lived in a time when women’s ideas, especially in the sciences, were dismissed until a man stepped forward to claim credit.
