Third defendant ordered to trial in Stewart Road shooting After a brief fifth day of a preliminary examination Monday, a judge has determined that there was enough testimony and evidence to send a third defendant in the Stewart Road shooting to a higher court to face trial. First District Judge Michael C. Brown made the decision after hearing testimony from several witnesses including three detectives from the Monroe County Sheriff's Office who testified that a phone linked to the third defendant was at the intersection of Stewart and Telegraph at the time of the shooting. His fingerprints also were found on a box of cigarettes that were recovered from the suspect's car.
