Wayne Bachmann, 70, was ordered to be held in the Cache County Jail after missing several 1st District Court appearances, having multiple warrants issued for his arrest and refusing to answer the courtâs questions on Monday. Bachmann faces one third-degree count of failing to stop at command of police and six misdemeanors and infractions alleged to have happened in September 2019. Documents filed with the court state Cache County Sheriffâs deputies attempted to pull Bachmann over while operating a vehicle that hadnât been registered for six years. Deputies wrote they had prior interactions with Bachmann and knew he didnât have a valid driverâs license. Bachmann was followed by deputies for nearly five blocks before stopping in front of a home in Hyrum; deputies wrote Bachman refused to exit the vehicle, keeping the doors locked and the windows rolled up.
