Great Glen Crematorium on London Road is handing out the cash after raising it as part of its metal recycling scheme. With the consent of families, metals recovered during cremation are recycled. And any money generated at each of the 34 crematoria and cemeteries nationwide operated by Westerleigh Group is used to support good causes. Great Glen Crematorium is donating £4,000 to the Leicester-based Laura Centre and £3,000 each to Rainbows Hospice and the Bodie Hodges Foundation.
