By PRISCILLA KADOLPH Progress Editor HAVILAND – Three members of the Wayne Trace FFA were recently awarded their state FFA Degree at the 93rd Annual Ohio FFA Convention which was held virtual this year. The three recipients from Wayne Trace High School are: Morgan Hefner, Ethan Noggle and Jayden Molitor. This achievement is rather significant. According to Lori Keipper, the FFA sponsor, the State FFA Degree is the third degree of membership FFA members can achieve. It is earned at the state level. She went on further to explain, the first level is the Greenhand Degree, the second is the Chapter Degree; both are earned at the chapter level. Lastly, the fourth degree - the American Degree - is earned at the National Level. She commented, “I guess I would compare it to Boy Scouts - they start as a scout and by meeting requirements they can move up to an Eagle Scout.”
