LANSING — Time is running out for high school seniors to meet the priority deadline for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The priority deadline is Saturday, May 1, and students who submit the application after that may not receive all the financial aid they could have been entitled to. Those who do complete the FAFSA before Saturday will be given priority consideration for the Michigan Competitive Scholarship and Michigan Tuition Grant. “Please don’t wait if you haven’t completed your FAFSA yet,” stated Robin Lott, executive director of Treasury’s Office of Postsecondary Financial Planning. “This application is free and can help ensure you get as much financial aid as possible.”
