Tired of bad weather disrupting your TV signal? Tune in to this. Bill Ellzey Years ago, television reception hereabouts depended on the size, orientation and height of the antenna at your house. Fancy rigs were tall, had lots of parallel aluminum elements and could be pointed using a motor controlled from the ground. A good rig could bring in stations broadcasting from Baton Rouge as well as New Orleans. A measure of reception was possible using "rabbit ears" inside the house. After losing a pole-mounted antenna to a hurricane or two, I managed reasonable New Orleans reception using an outdoor antenna positioned inside my attic.
