TJ Maxx lists opening date for Alliance Laura Kessel Retailer TJ Maxx has announced an opening date for its store in Alliance. In a note on under the "Store Locator" on the retailer’s website, tjmaxx.com, the Alliance location at 2642 W. State St. shows, “New store opening on March 21, 2021 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.” The store has been in the works for well over a year. The City of Alliance approved an occupancy permit for the store in late 2019. At that time, city officials said the store going into the West State Square plaza would be 21,052 square feet. The store will replace two retailers that once were located in the plaza between Walmart and Carnation City Mall.
