Chaos Walking is based on Patrick Ness' 2008 novel The Knife of Never Letting Go, and follows a young man named Todd Hewitt (Holland) in a planet called New World. He discovers a young woman named Viola (Ridley), despite believing that all women had disappeared. Todd vows to protect her in this world, where all the men are affected by a force called 'the Noise'. Lionsgate Edge of Tomorrow's Doug Liman is directing, while Ness and Spider-Man: Homecoming writer Christopher Ford have penned the screenplay. Cynthia Erivo, David Oyelowo and Mads Mikkelsen also star. Chaos Walking is due for release on March 5, 2021.
