Top-tier builders under pressure to agree to CFMEU demands Share Top-tier builders in NSW are facing pressure to declare whether they will sign up to the CFMEU's huge pay rises and restrictive days off just as the NSW government warns that taxpayers will have to foot the bill for the union's claims. The Construction, Forestry, Maritime, Mining and Energy Union is understood to have demanded Lendlease, John Holland, CPB, Laing O'Rourke and Watpac publicly state their position on the union's controversial new enterprise agreement by Wednesday, ahead of a push by parts of the industry for non-union agreements. The CFMEU claims it has reached agreement with "a number of builders".
