By Alex Lawrie Rosanna Anderson was previously jailed at Edinburgh Sheriff Court A MUM-OF-SEVEN who was jailed last month for carrying out a six-year benefit scam has been returned to prison after the appeal against her sentence failed. Rosanna Anderson wrongly claimed £55,000 from the public purse after failing to inform the Department for Work and Pensions that she was living with her then-partner in the family home. The 31-year-old admitted receiving the excess child tax credits payments during an appearance at Edinburgh Sheriff Court earlier this year and was jailed by Sheriff Wendy Sheehan on March 1. Anderson, of Tranent, was then released from prison on March 16 – just two weeks into her sentence – after her legal team lodged an appeal against the 12-month prison term.
