You believe Public Officials are a part of the problem . I believe Public Officials and their discourse oar part of the problem. Because words matter and the way you communicate with people matters. And if you continue to repeat a narrative that is false, for example, hands up dont shoot or that my son is in danger from the nypd even though hes being protected by the nypd on a daily basis, that narrative gets repeated over and over and folks start to believe it. I think sometimes those individuals do those things and when that occurs we need to hold those people accountable. But in general i dont think anybody goes outs there with the intent to discriminate against someone because of who they are what they look like who they associate with lifestyle or any of those things.
