System reacting to something that normally would be harmless satyr those that don't have allergies but it's our immune system reacting to something that it shouldn't and can you get an allergy at any age you can there are times in your life when you're perhaps more likely to get allergies but it can happen at any time definitely And what about hereditary if your mom or dad or your gran has had an allergy can that we understand that certainly can that's called a top a topic allergy so parents that have allergies particularly have both parents that have some form of allergy including eczema and Assman we don't tend to think of those as always allergies we tend to think of the classic kind of peanut and the fact that shock. And also a legit conditions and that predisposes a child to having a much higher risk of developing an allergy as well and also just as a we can get out of allergies as well as all and develop them but we can also grow out of them and we can particularly childhood allergies they can be very much a very common need to grow out of them as it is it right there so they can grow out of them by the age of 7 the magic number yes yes and even at age 23 or 4 children that have milk allergy is very pronounced as babies they can often around 4 or 5 with a dietician or nutritionist support my add can actually then start to be introduce milk for example for milk allergy babies and what is the difference between an allergy and an intolerant so sometimes it's difficult to separate but we tend to think with allergies that they are more instant reactions that happen quite instantly so the classic reactions you might see a when you might see someone with swelling in their lips or throat closing type scenario also like I said asthma and eczema and that is a separate type of immune response we produce a different antibody in an allergy response to a food intolerance or an intolerance reaction generally. Intolerances we associate with foods and that's a different immune response tends to be a lot slower can have similar symptoms they like mucous forming type symptoms. I had a real reaction Ok so what I would say is that if you're reacting to one food then your can commonly react to other foods and that might be your developing out of the allergies over time can I ask what type of reaction you had to the seaweed. If you have any symptoms like that it's really important to speak to your g.p. Will talk a little bit more about that there are things that you can do to help support balancing of your immune system it's been difficult to prevent research studies that things like vitamin d. In probiotics actually reverse or stop or reduce allergies but we know that one of the strategies for helping to support the immune system with allergies and intolerances to trying to balance the immune system so some people may find that they benefit from taking prebiotics and. Yes Yes And there isn't lots of things that might cause you to suddenly develop allergies you know looking at you would die as a whole you know eating a healthy diet as much as you possibly can and is going to support. Yes but I think to make sure that you're getting enough protein in your diet as well because if you have gone into a beacon diet protein is also important for the health of your gut as well. He diagnosed eczema. Shortly afterwards she got rashes coming up on her skin this is only just come about and I thought you only got it from a young age my daughter and then goes on to some products that she uses on her skin one not skin care that says it's allergen free and uses the neuron her skin do you get a lot of people the problems with makeup and skin care yes certainly we can really react see what is going on our skin and it's really important to look at getting as natural bronze as she possibly can there are some lovely brands out there like mention if you like Neil sharp green people tropic are using really good Brown called hopes that do relief really good creams for Xmas which is really really good and I think it's getting as natural as you possibly can even if it's had an allergen free it still might have some things that you react to so you know looking at as natural as possible with brands and just to say obviously a brand with skin care can call itself will get Nick but it only has to have one or 2 are going to can gradients it's not 100 percent organic in the same way as food so just because something said Forget it doesn't mean it's 100 percent natural Oh I don't understand your maybe our other many things that we should look at if if if if we're buying make going for a skin cream or something should we be taking care and have a look at the ingredients in that yeah I think so but it's difficult to say you know which ones that you might react to because there are so many and they'll be so many ingredients that you do that you don't recognize that your problem and the fact is there has to be some preserver in there otherwise we'd have to be you know making our skin creams every 3 to 4 weeks so I think it's just going for brands that are genuinely as natural so some of the big brands that might say their natural are actually not as natural as they say they are so there's a couple of apps that you can get where you can actually scan your products of bar codes and see what might be in there that's also quite a useful thing to do as well Ok key because coming in 01603617. 3 to one Katherine Jean to say we're talking about allergies and intolerances as well got some more questions to get I will do after.
