>> oh, initially i would have thought they're excellent. but i'm somewhat shocked by the nature of the reaction of the state to announce immediately without even talking to nip -- to anyone or specifically the alexander family to determine what it is that they want. and if not only about walking out of the courthouse saying, hey, you guys want to go through this again or do you want to try it again, i think the family needs a little time -- a little time to actually digest what has happened and transpired over the last several months and then make a decision, a collective decision as a family before deciding to go through this again. so i'm a little bit shocked that they would jump the gun like that and make that type of an announcement. but that still doesn't preclude them from actually cutting a deal all the way -- going through it again and still cutting a deal before the jury comes back again.
