overreached on the first covid bill. i thought it was too big and i think, again, they misread a mandate. they tried to do too much with build back better. they have opportunities. i think to do some things, to clean up some. election problems through the electoral count act and marry that with the voting rights act reauthorization. i think there is a potential to get somewhere. but mitch mcconnell is a sharp, shrewd guy. he plays ball when he has to, and he fights when he feels he has to. and i think they still can get some things done on this voting
