going to mean. are they going to be home again a week from now? am i going to get sick? are they going to get sick? can i cope with it? can they cope with it? we've got to start by owning our feelings and acknowledging that we all have them. we need to talk about them. with kids, it's going to come out in their behavior. we're going to see clinginess. separation anxiety. irritability. maybe regression in terms of their behavior. we have to remember they're not trying to give us a hard time, but they are having a hard time and that's their way of communicating. so instead, we want to take the opportunity to teach them the words they don't yet have. i always really think about it just like reading or other skills that they need to learn. they're not born into the world knowing how to do this so we really need to break it down just like you would other things. so with reading, sounds, to letters to words to sentences,
