That someone in the cockpit deliberately steered that plane off course. Its important to point out this assessment was prepared months ago. It does not come to any firm conclusions about what eventually happened to that plane. Heres cnns u. S. Justice correspondent evan perez. This assessment is based on satellite and other Available Evidence and analysts looked at multiple course changes the aircraft made after it deviated from the scheduled course from kuala lumpur to beijing. Analysts determined it is most likely someone in the cockpit deliberately moved the aircraft crossing indonesian and to the indian ocean. That was done for internal government purposes and not meant to be public. A malaysian government report from march said there is no proof of wrongdoing in the plane route. They are looking at a piece of the plane debris that could possibly be from mh 370. This is where it was found. Crews dragged it across and it landed over there against that stone wall. Cleaning much of the evidence off of it in the process. It is only when the police and the special Investigation Unit turned out that it began to dawn on them that perhaps they discovered something pretty crucial. He has been working on this stretch of beach for years. As soon as he saw the debris he shouted to the rest of the crew to stop what they were doing. Somehow, he says he knew what it was. Translator i thought perhaps it was from a plane crash so i said dont touch it anymore. Because if it is a plane crash people have died and you have to have respect for them. Reporter johnny was right. Local officials told us the barnacles you see in the picture will be vital in establishing where the debris sank and how long it has been underwater. This morning, more debris washed ashore. It appears to resemble the remnants of a passenger carry case but of course until further investigations are carried out, no one knows for certain. Since then Police Helicopters have been patroling this stretch of sea, trying to get a better line of sight on anything and everything that is headed to the shore. For many of the families of those that disappeared on that plane, this is the first time in a very long time they are beginning to feel some faint glimmer of hope. Hope they might finally know what happened. Cnn, reunion island. Short time ago Australias Deputy Prime Minister said it looked very likely the debris found on reunion island maybe from a boeing 777. Cnns david molko has been listening to that News Conference and is joining us live from hong kong. David, good to have you with us. The deputy Prime Minister is urging caution. Waiting for french investigators to give the final word on the piece of debris but he said the simple fact it washed ashore on reunion island is consistent with regards to their current modeling of where debris could have traveled. Thats right. She using words like very confident, very likely. We have heard that from malaysias Prime Minister. We heard it from the top investigator in australia. But he said Something Else. And that is we have to be sure of the facts. George theres no room for error here. They have to be 100 sure of where this piece of debris is coming from. At the very least for the 239 families involved and of course the entire world watching us. Remember 500 days of searching, more than 500 days since the plane disappeared. This is all they have to go on. This is the first piece of physical evidence. Truss who has been the face of this dealing with this kind of tied in the evidence this piece of debris and explained how that fits in to the bigger priority which is the search for the plane itself. Take a listen. We remain confident we are searching in the right place, and if in fact the plane parts found on reunion island are linked to mh370 that would rather strengthen the case that we are in the right area but it doesnt prove it conclusively. It doesnt prove it conclusively. And that has been the thing about this search all along over the last 16 months. Nothing has been conclusive. Even the satellite data that led them to that search area was a new kind of analysis that never had been done in that way. George as you mention, this the finding of this debris if proven to be from mh 370 fits by backtracking through the ocean countries does fit and is consistent with the current search zone of course the search for the plane and the passengers continuing this very day. Theres one search vessel out in the southern indian ocean continuing to scour the bottom for any signs of that plane. So a cautious optimism about that piece of debris. But it was interesting to hear the deputy Prime Minister take a different assessment of this bag that was discovered. So it seems to be luggage. Talk to us about that. Potential suitcase discovered by the same man who actually found the piece of wreckage. The flapper ron. You saw it in the piece there. It has to be taken seriously, truss, says and of course they will take everything seriously. But there have been so many false alarms and false leads. We saw early in the search from the South China Sea to the bay of bengal to the southern indian ocean things that were spotted that were thought to be debris from the plane, some turned out to be just garbage floating around. Of course they want to take a very close look at this. The french say this is officially part of their investigation as well. The bigger question here george though is whether there ought to be a second search area now. We have one off australia, 1500 miles off of the coast of australia where they are looking underwater. Should they begin to search in the waters around the island off the coast of madagascar in hopes they could reunion more debris . That is difficult to say. Its a decision that would have to be driven by the malaysians and french as well. It would be expensive. What results could they find . Obvious everybody watching very closely about this piece of debris this piece of an aircraft wing seeing if they can conclusively say one way or another whether it is part of mh370. Jonch george its expected the piece could be flown to paris in the coming days. It is a long flight more than 12 hours to france and the dea office. He and his wife lived in a gated community in the suburbs of call la lum pure. He had been flying with Malaysian Airlines for 24 years and a flight instructor. He had a Flight Simulator at home. He posted it on you tube. He built it himself. Hi, everyone. Friends told cnn he built it so he could practice in case the unthinkable happened. He had 18,000 hours of flying and also gave tips on you tube about tinkering with a refrigerator and air conditioner. Household air conditioning unit. Reporter at his home no suicide note was found by police to suggest he had ever planned to take mh370 down nor did a preliminary review of his Flight Simulator hard drive turn up anything suspicious. Though some files were deleted in the month before the flight. If you were deleting files off the hard drive to provide more room you would go through it once not destroy the file and make it irretrievable. It didnt appear the pilot had tried to scrub his hard drive when he delleted files. The copilots hard drive was found not to be suspicious. The passengers and the pilots and crew remain innocent until proven otherwise. He was 27 and lived with his family. He joined the airline in 2007 and transitioned to fly the 777. This was his first unsupervised flight in the jumbo jets cockpit. A month before the plane disappeared, Richard Quest visited him in another cockpit when he was still training. That day his captain described his landing as text book perfect. And it turns out the first officer had entertained other guests in the cockpit, too. This woman took photos while she was in the cockpit with him where he and his colleague smoked cigarettes. After the crash, Malaysia Airlines said they were shocked by the allegations. By the time those final words were spoken by mh370s cockpit to air traffic control, they said they had already started to alter the flight plan. Was it the pilot . Did he disable Communications Systems and turn off the transponder . It helps those on the ground locate the plane. If this wasnt just a terrible accident whoever did this never wanted to be found. Given the singular piece of wreckage what can investigators determine from it . George its probably a little early to say precisely other than the fact that this piece of wreckage has turned up where they expected it to drift to. The university of Western Australia did a drift analysis that we discussed on cnn over 12 months ago that showed after 12 13 months time the debris would with whatever debre there was from this crash would turn up in this particular part of the world. Thats based on the fact that the plane crashed where we believe it did in the southern indian ocean. This is confirmation we are on the right track. We heard from the deputy Prime Minister of australia, making the point that you know, this is consistent with regards to modeling that they did, that it could have washed up ashore on that part of the world. It was also interesting to hear from that News Conference that happened just over an hour ago, to hear there is concern about not jumping to conclusions. They want to make sure they want to hear from french and malaysian authorities first to determine whether, first of all it is part of a 777 and secondly whether it is part of mh370. Indeed. We obviously have to be sensitive to the relatives of the passengers and crew that have apparently been lost. We must also remember the malaysian government said well going to eight months ago now, they officially said that mh370 ended its flight in the southern indian ocean. Thats the official statement and thats then and the plane is lost. This debris simply confirms what the malaysian government stated way back last year. And the university of Western Australia is now working on a reverse drift analysis of this piece of debris and they are hoping thats going to give some guidance to the searchers of a tighter area to look where this may have come from. Jeffrey, so a cautious optimism about this piece of debris. Again, pointing back to the News Conference we heard a short while ago, deputy Prime Minister making the point that we if it is determine ed this piece of plane wreckage is from mh370, it certainly closes the argument that this plane landed went down in the indian ocean and shoots down many of these theories that the plane could have landed somewhere else. Indeed. It puts any theory that relates to the plane being in afghanistan or russia or northern corridor. It has to be in in the south. However, of course we still have a long way to go first of all, to find the wreckage recover the black boxes and then understand what on earth went on that airplane to cause it to end its flight in the southern indian ocean. A long way to go and it must be a terrible time for the relatives of those who have those who are on board that aircraft. Relatives who have, you know its been a trying time for them. Is it feasible this debris could have traveled this far across the indian ocean . George its a reasonable question but its imperative that we dig deep in to this flp flaperon. It is made of a composite material that is highly buoyant, well sealed and relatively flight. There are air pockets in the device. That means it can float and for a listening time. That is the answer to that question. But when it gets stuck within these large ocean currents known as gyres, as we are looking here. Just below me. This is the indian ocean gyre. It wraps from the west coast of australia in a counterclockwise direction. Eventually impacting and meeting the east coast of africa reunion island mauritius, tanzania. That is large and smallscale circulations this item may have undergone over the last 16 months. We have these drift analysises that we are going to monitor closely. Lets quickly use an analogy. Say we drop this plastic bot until the ocean and it floats like the device they found on the coast of reunion but it stops floating until it reaches an immoveable object like the coast of reunion coast of madagascar. This is where it becomes crucial to see where the debris can go. We have a High Resolution and intellectual computer model from adrift. Org. Au. You can look it up on the internet yourself. If we were to place that device in the purported crash site all computer models conclude it will drift westward make that 4,000 kilometer trek just to the west. Eventually ending up on the shores of east africa, or like reunion island for instance and that is crucial in the next phase of the investigation. Investigators are sending a piece of airplane debris found in the western indian ocean to france for a closer examination. Australias deputy Prime Minister says theres strong evidence that it is part of a boeing 777. Thats the same kind of plane as mh370 that disappeared in march of last year. Experts say it is possible ocean currents carried that debris across the ocean over the past 17 months. You know the expression, once in a blue moon. Now most of the world will get a chance to see one later tonight. It is designed as the second full moon within the same calendar month. The last time it happened is in 2012 and the next time wont be until 2018. Dont let the name fool you. A blue moon rarely has a bluish hue. In fact it is usually a typical gray or red color. The wing from found on reunion island is from a boeing triple 7. It is part of a planes wing. Investigators are said anding it to france for a closer inspection. Deputy Prime Minister talked about the find a short time ago. There is strong evidence to suggest that the wreckage found on reunion island does come from a boeing 777. That has not yet been confirmed but the pictures that are viable for people to examine are certainly consistent with the parts from the wing of a boeing 777. So a very small part of the aircraft but it could be a very important piece of evidence. Police confirmed to cnn they are trading another piece of debris found in reunion island as part of the mh370 investigation. Now it looks like the remnants of a suitcase and it has search crews looking for other potential crews. Cnn National Correspondent is on reunion island. Reporter search helicopters passed overhead scouring the shoreline. This is where the plane debris wash aid shore and this is where it was found by the beach cleanup crewes who dragged it across the pebbles and lent it over there against that stone wall cleaning much of the evidence off it in the process. It was only when the police and special Investigation Unit turned up that it began it dawn on them that perhaps they did discover something pretty crucial. Translator johnnys been working on this stretch of beach for years. As soon as he saw the debris he said he shouted to the rest of the crew to stop what they were doing. Somehow, he says, he knew what it was. Translator i thought perhaps it was from a plane crash so i said dont touch it any more. Local officials told us the barnacles you see in this picture will be vital in establishing where the debris sank and how long its been under water. This morning, more debris washed ashore. It appears to resemble the remnants of a passenger carry case but of course until further investigations are carried out, no one knows for certain. Since then Police Helicopters have been patrolling the stretch of sea. Trying to get a bet are line of sight on anything and everything that is heading towards the shore. For many of the families of those that disappeared on that plane, this is the first time in a very long time that they are beginning to feel some faint glimmer of hope. Hope they might finally know what happened. Cnn, reunion island. And cnn has been covering the disappearance of mh370 since last march. David joins us from hong kong. David, the 230 people on board were from china, indonesia, australia. We heard a short time ago from the australian Prime Minister. Tell us what he had to say. Yes, saying that there is strong evidence this is connected to a triple 7. We have heard from others saying it is very likely or highly likely that this piece of debris is from a boeing triple 7. The Prime Minister said Something Else though saying we need to be sure of the facts. And let me just quickly run you through what we know about this flaperon this piece of debris found on reunion island. We know there is marking on it a spence ill that says 657 bb. We ne that is a an apparent match for the schematics on the part of the right wing for a boeing triple 7. There is a missing number plate that appears to not be on that piece. We have seen Newer Versions of the flaperon that have the number on the plate. There are barnacles consistent with something thats been in the water 16 months. Another point made by investigators, there are no other missing triple 7s. No pieces like this reported missing and linda, on top of all of that there is confidence that this is consistent with this debris washing up on reunion island that is consistent with the current search area, the ocean currents from the indian ocean could have moved it from the currents all the way over the island over the past 500 days. You can see why investigators are saying they are increasingly confident. Of course lynda, being confident is not the same as being a hundred percent sure. That is true. A lot of detail there. We do know that this piece of debris is now on its way it france. Can you explain why it is going to france and what investigators, how quickly they may be able to determine whether this is from the remnants of mh370 . Lynda, they have a lot to go on here. They he have the fact that there are markings, as i just mentioned. France leading this investigation. Sorry, leading the investigation into this particular piece of debris because it washed up on french territory. Working closely with the malaysians though. We have a source who told cnn that the americans, ntsb actually want to see the piece with their own eyes. They want to draw those conclusions when they see the evidence in person this piece of debris. No one wants it make a mistake here. There is no margin for error. They want to be a hundred percent certain on this. There is another aspect determining whether or not it came from mh370, but could this flaperon actually shed light, actually provide other clues about what may have happened on board the flight. Weve had different experts begin to weigh in. One from the independent group, the one that helped australia refine their search area. A gentleman by the name of michael exner, saying the damage pattern is clear. The damage is on the back half and not on the front. What he believes that means is that it somehow came off of the plane while it was still in flight. All of this important and matters because it could help officials determine again whether or not they are looking into the right area how close to the final ping with the satellite that they believe the plane, where the plane went down. Of course lynda, i have to stress preliminary extreme caution. But that gives you an example of the type of information these investigators may be able to get from this piece. Lynda . Reunion island is thousands of kilometers from where it is believed mh370 went down in the indian ocean. The discovery of debris wont change the main search area but has sparked renewed interest in what happened to the plane. Cnn u. S. Justice correspondent ian perez reports. Reporter an assessment by the u. S. Intelligence agency says someone if the cockpit deliberately directed the aircrafts movements before it disappeared. This assessment is based on satellite and other Available Evidence and where the aircraft deviated on its way it beijing. Analyst determined it is most likely someone in the cockpit deliberately moved the aircraft to specific way points, crossing indian territory to the south indian ocean. This was done for internal u. S. Agencyes a and for malaysian authorities. Malaysian government report in march said that there is no proof of wrongdoing by the airplanes crew. They said quote there were no behavioral signs of social isolation, change in habits or interests, self neglect, drug or alcohol abuse of the captain, first officer, and the cabin crew. The hope now is that finding aircraft debris brings them closer to answers. Evan perez, cnn, washington. The u. S. Assessment is renewing its focus on the captain and first officer of mh370. Much less experienced, this picture cast doubt on his conduct in the cockpit. Two south African Women say fariq invited them into the cockpit during 2011 flight, a breach of safety rules. As the search stretched into months former faa investigator Thomas Anthony kept returning to this question. Why the systematic shut down of tracking devices aboard the plane. Is that a coincidence . It is an incredible coincidence. Reporter anthony spent 25 years with the faa and tsa investigating crimes against Civil Aviation. He agrees with the initial u. S. Assessment that there was a deliberate act from mh370s cockpit in part because mh370s disappearance feels so familiar. Anthony investigated the crash of egypt air flight 990, many concluded it was caused by suicide. Silk air 185, american authorities also determined it crashed because of actions taken by the pilot. What is your theory right now regarding mh370 . In view of the context of all the evidence of everything said beth on the ground and whats been found, it looks like that the most likely theory would be intentional infearance by the pilot. I think this investigation could only be solved on the ground. It may have clues at the bottom of the ocean. It may have clues on the beaches of reunion island. But i think the answers, final answers of why this happened can only be determined on the ground. Cnn, los angeles. And weve more on the debris found on the coast of reunion island. Meteorologist derek van dam joins us with more. Derek, is it even feasible that mh370 debris could have traveled this far across the indian ocean . Lynda, it is a reasonable question indeed. In fact we have to dig deep into this flaperon piece that they purportedly found, belonging to mh370. It is a device on the airplane that is highly buoyant. I researched this. We know this thing will float. When it enters the ocean currents known as a gyre it will allow the debris it travel long distances. The 4,000 or so kilometers from the west coast of australia all the way to the eastern coastal regions of africa. This is known as the indian ocean gyre. It rerotates in the counter clockwise fashion. It is small scale and large scale rotation patterns. Lets use an analogy here. Lets say we drop a plastic bottle in the ocean. What will it do . Eventually we will see the plastic bottle float. It will move along the water until it raefs an immovable surface like the beach of reunion island or coast of madagascar for instance and fortunately there are some high end computer models known as a drift analysis that can show exactly where debris will eventually end up as we go forward it a 12month to 14month period. This is if we place a plastic bottle into the indian ocean where the actual search area is undergoing off the west coast of australia. If we did that with todays ocean currents it would bring that plastic bottle or the purported debris from the mh370 flight west ward. And we would see it travel that 4,000 kilometer journey to the west coast of africa perhaps landing up on reunion island or the coast of madagascar tanzania. We know it floats and we know it can go great distances. Now the next question is marine biologists and scientists will pay very close attention to the barnacles that they have been talking about since they found this piece. The developments in the search for the malaysian Airlines Flight 370. Warren truss says it looks likely that debris found in the indian ocean is from a boeing triple 7. That is the same as as malaysian flight 370. Another piece of debris was washed ashore on thursday. It looks like a piece of luggage. But truss did down play that find. I think it is fair to say we are less certain that thing about has anything to do with flight 370 even than we are with the plane wreckage. The bag doesnt seem to show the signs of being in the water far long period of time. But nonetheless, it needs to be taken seriously. 239 people were on board the fly mh370 to beijing. The new leader is the tal beens second in command and deputy leader since 2010. According to the u. N. Sanctions list he was minister of Civil Aviation and transportation. Following this announcement a new round of peace talks slated it take place between the taliban and Afghan Government were postponed. Cnn interNational Correspondent Nic Robertson joins us for more on all of this. And nic, given that we are learning that the old taliban lead are may have died two years ago, does that mean that this new leader has effectively been calling the shots for the last couple of years . It means that he has effectively been in charge. But theres also been a complicit, if you will among a tiny call of leadership within the taliban to essentially ignore the facts that omar was no longer answering questions, was no longer giving directions and it try to sort of create the impression not just for the outside world but for the rest of the taliban that they still add leader who was so well respected he was a very if you will a figure who could bring together desperate elements within a taliban across the whole of afghanistan and pakistan as well. So there was in essence a complicit among that lead areship, not to rock the boat. It was based on the fact that they all thought they were heading in the same direction that they agreed on where the organization was going and that if no one asked that tough question where is omar why dont we have any answers from him, why are we not hearing from him, why dont we see him, then the organization could continue it could remain strong. So although he has effectively been running the operation, a complicit with a small group of others to keep it this way and to follow under his leadership it is not until they have come under pressure to get to talks, to come under real pressure that it has shown some fractures within the organization and put pressure on them essentially by calling them out and saying you know where is omar . We havent heard from him. That theyve had to come clean and accept and announce that he is in fact dead. Lynda . Nic, what does this official leadership talks between for the Afghan Government and taliban . In the short term it is having a detrimental yl effect because the talks scheduled to begin today are not happening. In the longer term there are esse two schools of thought. One school of thought that says omar was opposed to the peace talks and there fo with him gone you have with somebody like mansour you have someone who is more inclined to get into peace talks with the Afghan Government and therefore in the longer run the chances of an approach of more political deal through talks emerging between the taliban and the Afghan Government is more a possibility. But you have a very very real threat at this stage because of divisions within the taliban. There are certainly some schools of thought that believe that one of omars sons was expecting o are wanting to be the leader of the new leader of the taliban. That there are other elements within the taliban that want to continue to fight. Certainly my own conversations with taliban officials over the past few years have indicated those divisions. The problem with those divisions is that some groups want to fight, some dont, and some may go off and join isis inside afghanistan. There is a real potential here that you divide the taliban and have a less cohesive movement to get into negotiations. Okay. We will have to leave it there for now. Nic robertson in istanbul turkey. Intentionally setting a fire killing a toddler and injuring several others. This is horrific attack that saw an 18monthold child burned to death. What can you tell us . What are the details . Reporter we know two homes, in the small hours of the morning, set on fire in the west Bank According to Israeli Military preliminary investigation suspects entered the village, set homes on fire and sprayed graffiti in hebrew on the home. Israeli police saying the word price tag was found on the walls of the house. According to a palestinian official a 1 1 2 year old died in the house fire. His parents had third degree burns. Israeli military as well as Police Forces are on the scene. Investigators are also there collecting evidence. The palestinian Political Movement sought to put out a statement condemning the killing as a crime against humanity blaming the Israeli Government for its support and protection of the settlers. And this attack of course happens after israeli authorities destroyed two apartment blocks that they thought were illegally built on palestinianowned land. New this week hundreds of Israeli Settlers protested dwellings that Israeli Supreme Court ruled were constructed illegally on palestinianowned land near the bet elle settlement in the west bank. There are indication that someone in the cockpit veered the palestinian off course. This is based on satellite data and other evidence but it is only now coming to light. Authorities are saying they are confident a piece of debris found in the west indian ocean is from a boeing triple 7 like mh370. The wing part is called a plap flaperon. Cnns nick robspoke about its function. We have heard a lot about the flapper yon. Where are they and what do they do on this aircraft . Yeah, the flabberperon, this is the part sitting in the middle. That small 6 1 2 foot piece right there. Thats exactly right. The flaperon combines the function of the rolleron, and the flaps which controls lift at slower speeds. This is a replica of what you would see on a boeing 777 opinion this is washed off the coast of reunion island. What is this here that we are looking at here on this part here. Yeah this came from a triple 7. This plate right here is a data plate. It is identification that comes on any component and tells you part number and serial number for that component and can help tie it to an aircraft. Yet on the debris that we saw, that plates not there. So what does that mean . We actually have pictures of the component they found in reunion. You can see the data plate is missing. It is held on to the component by an adhesive. By a glue. That could have ripped right off . Yeah or sat over time, like in the ocean, and came off. We saw serial numbers on the flaperon what will that help with . It is a whole assembly. It is possible there is a lot of serial numbers, part numbers even for individual pieces or it could refer to all, you know larger assembly such as the plap flaperon. And authorities ascending the debris from that plane to france for closer inspection. The families of those on board mh370 are reacting cautiously to the latest developments. Cnns christie joins us with more on that. Christie with be tho doubt a trying time for the families who are missing loved ones. What are they saying to you about this latest development . Reporter they are sayinging that it is a very trying time. It is a long and agonizing wait for the families of the passengers on board missing malaysian Airlines Flight mh370. Imagine what they are going through, following developments that half a world away suspected debris washed up on reunion island. If confirm said part of mh370 is the First Physical sign of the plane since vanishing in march of 2014. The families have waited for an answer and still have to wait longer. The paper says mh370 answer in two days. Coming from the Prime Minister of malaysia. Will take up to two days for malaysian authorities with french authorities to verify or confirm the origin of that suspected debris that washed up to reunion island. Now how they are taking in this information, the families especially those here in malaysia is a mix of hope and fair. 50 of the passengers were from malaysia. We were able to get a statement from one malaysian Family Member. 18yearold girl her father was a chief steward of mh370. And through messaging she told us quote honestly we are nervous. We feel a little bit of restlessness. Part of us wants it to be true. But another part of us doesnt want it to be true. Were not sure what to say about it. Right now we are waiting for the result to come in. Last but not least we are tired with all this already. That is 18yearold mh370 Family Member Maria Elizabeth nari. Their body language can be described as someone almost beaten down. It is clear that tsh well everybody is processing this. Some are angry, some griefstricken some skeptical. But everybody looks hit hard again just like they were in early march of last year. Yet what they dont have is the psychological assistance that they had in the initial weeks and months after the disaster. You will remember the airlines set up a support center here in beijing for families. Thats long sense closed he. And yesterday a group of families put out a statement saying they need the counseling. They need the support center. Not only do they need to be together as they go through this but they need help in coping with this which could potentially be for some the final proof that they need to know that their loved ones are began. You can get that sense that this is very difficult for people who have dealt with so many false alarms, led to believe there would be hope and the door would close. In the past its been positions in the government for taliban positions within the military structure for a number of taliban fighters within the context of the afghan army. So there have been sort of some ground work laid for peace talks in the past. But the political reconciliation the whole of the Taliban Organization many are assessing to the potentially under threat at this moment. If the taliban stays together under mansour then perhaps they can get under talks and his guidance after more peaceful strategy and accommodation can be made with the government over a period of time p but the threat of the organization is if they cant state together then isis within afghanistan that is growing, looks to be a potential winner to pull away some of the commanders. Isis and afghanistan has taken taliban commanders from pakistan when the leadership there, leaders killed in drone strikes, the organizations offractured and many have joined isis. Will it be a similar situation here . Will there be a faction pulling away under the leadership of omars son and will they go for peace or not. This is the real threat for longterm peace talks. Including reunion, perhaps madagascar mauritius, even the coast of tanzania for instance. Lets use an analogy here. Lets actually drop a plastic bottle into the indian ocean. What will it do . Obviously we expect this to drift. But only drift as far as it possibly can. It reaches an immovable object like the coast of reunion or coast of madagascar and it comes to an abrupt halt on the shoreline. Well fortunately we have some pretty impressive intellectual people out there that come up with what is called a drift analysis. This allows for marine biologists and scientists actually scouring this area for any remnants of mh370 plane. And it allows us to show where the debris field started or where they expect that the purported plane went miss pg. Ing ing g then we can see if we drop a plastic bottle in the ocean, where it would travel. And it is very clear. All models conclusively indicating we would see the west ward drift and it would make that 4,000 kilometer journey across the indian ocean getting caught up in that large ocean circulation i talked about a moment ago, eventually reaping the shores of africa or reunion island. I would expect that search efforts are going to be widened for more debris if you ask me. This is also going to be an integral part of the search efforts going forward. It is these barnacles we keep talking about on the flaperon device.
