A fund devoted to charitable causes of athletes. Turns out trump did in fact give money there. Trump apparently made the donation to the charitys Ben Roethlisberger foundation, not to the foundation itself. Erin, we just found another inconsistency. Just within the last hour, bolsters Donald Trumps claim hes been attacked unfairly. The tax forms showed that he gave a thousand dollars to a Group Friends of veterans in vermont and they said they didnt receive. That and e we checked and a florida name with the same charity did get the money in
2015. Looks like a case of sloppiness on the Trump Foundations part. And contacted the Washington Post and they said they werent any inconsistencies but they have since updated the story on the website. This is only going feed into the pushback were getting from the Trump Campaign that reporting on trumps charitable contributions are filled with ined adinaccurad we repeatedly asked over and over where are the specifics . We havent gotten an answer. My panel back of me, this is pretty significant. Big story came out. It got a lot of attention that trump said he gave money and he debate give money and the attorney general of new york now investigating the foundation and then it turns out that at least in three of these cases what the foundation said it did, it did. There are questions on some of the donations and doesnt change the fact that trump himself has not donated to his own foundation since the year 2008 so some of these core issues dont change. He gives his money to charities personally. He doesnt give to it his foundation. He gives it personally. We saw he raised 6 million for veterans this year. He wrote a Million Dollar check out of his own personal account and gave toyoit to the marine c Law Enforcement foundation. It was a million. No ones talking about that.
