Now this is an International Incident and the police say that the athletes could be criminally charged. The swimmers being accused of vandalizing a gas station. Different video shows the men entering a taxi. A Security Guard asks them to stay but they want to leave. After being spoken two, two of the swimmers begin giving statements to police. They were pulled off of a plane by police, their passports seized and prevented from leaving the country. James feigen has not given a statement. Ryan lochte already returned to the United States. That night saying lochte was intoxicated and angry. And a Security Guard at the gas station had his right to pull a well on them. Lets get to nick peyton walsh. Takes through the scene there. And now it is the alleyway in which you see them disappear. And back to the front, we have not gotten a updated version of events from the swimmers. They have not come forward again to answer this brazilian officials version of events here. This is where they emerged after quite a few Staff Members wanted to know what the commotion was. And that leads to the confusion of the early hours of the morning. And they between the a second taxi here. The man was approached by a man in black. So it may be at some point then, the police chief says they had four angry strangers here breaking the case up. After that welcome money was paid, it seems, the police turned up and didnt see any charges worst pressing. That may explain how convoluted it is coming to light, but the individuals are high pro file and maybe should apologize to the people of rio de janeiro. Why did such an aically cased story emerge. It is completely different from the version by brazilian officials. It is an extraordinary complicated way of explaining a little vulgar behavior, but maybe a more drunken infraction. You could perceive a misunderstanding, maybe you have someone pointing a gun at you and saying you need to pay for this that it could be some con vugs. But a lot of dots have to be joined together. I dont think anyone here is saying there cant be a gray middle where everyone is telling some degree of the story, but for right now the officials are providing a lengthy version of the story that seems to core late with the cctv. If it gets to extradition, something has gone very wrong. What do we think for the swimmers two of them have had their passports confiscated. When can they go home . What happens is negotiation. Extradition is about politics, diplomacy, people getting on the phone and working things out. At the end of the day we might expect for ryan to accept the sovereignty of brazil over this matter.
