Thats whats up. I am with you. Sixteen years old from mexico city it is an honor to be here today this is a critical time in the next phase for her people. It is not the future of our economy or country and it is not the future of the economy. We are resisting and saying no more. We are no longer allowed a government and the corporations and we threaten the human rights and indigenous rights. We are here to stand in solidarity and demand justice and fight for freedom. This is bigger any than pipeline because the struggle for freedom is the battle of a lifetime. We must honor the people and the land. This is a sacred connection. We are all connected to this urt. We all drink the same water and this is issue that fights all people. To the tar sands to the tracking to the mountain top removal to the oppression against our people. It has been looking so and the greatest changes made come from people power and people standing in our streets, courts, communities, fighting for justice and creating the solutions we want to see. This is a beautiful day. This is a day of celebration. This is a day to remember everything we will create from here on out in honor of our ancestors and those that fought at a defend ourselves. We will fight for them and all those who came before us and fought for us. [applause] we will share with you and everybody coming close. This is an incredibly symbolic day. Black lives matter and the gathering of tribes and movements we will fight for Climate Justice and indigenous right and the transition away from fossil fuel. We are exited to be the mc today. I am erin wise and i am hear from the hickory and i am 16 years old. Does it freak you out . As you know, i worked at the International Indigenous youth council, honor the earth, and a lot of your faces i see everything time i come to d. C. Thank you for being here again. I dont have a beautiful introduction but i have housekeeping things. We need jody and fawn to come up. If you are speaking, please, come meet us behind the stage. Also, because this is the land of the free and indigenous land and places where we live, i want you to know we are not welcome to stand on the white house sidewalk. Stay off the sidewalk, please. We are going to be making our stand. We are going to be making our voices heard from over here. So, please, help us focus over here. Lets keep the attention over here. Please stay off the sidewalks. With that, i want to welcome judith from the native organizers alliance. She is a powerhouse of a woman. If you remember who she is. She spoke at the womans march and is here again today. Please help me welcome judith lablanc. Good morning. Standing rock changed everything. It will never, never, be changed back. Sitting bull said let us put your minds together to see what we can build for our children. Gentlemen of the Standing Rock sioux tribe, it is a 21st century leader. He has put our minds together to think about our children. Think about our children. They brought together the Tribal Council and the people of Standing Rock sioux tribes who supported the camp, sacred stone camp, and brought people together from all over the world. Chairman dave, chairman bow, is a leader that has been tested and shown through prayer and peoplepower we can win. The Standing Rock sioux tribe did file the lawsuit. And are still fighting. I was going to thank everybody but first i want to recognize the youth of Standing Rock. I am standing here with the you youth. You are the ones that make all my choices for them. I believe in them. And so if you want to try to holler and shun me what you are doing is shunning the youth. You got to remember that. I just want let you know that i love you guys with all my heart. Thank you, all of you for your support for being here. During the last year, people around the world have sacrificed and stayed with us at Standing Rock. We have not made it this far without you. I thank you. We are not defeated. We are not defeated. We are not going to be the victim. An obstacle is not an opportunity. Together we can confront these acts and look at these opportunities and embrace them. So together we can rise and today is not only native americans who are ignored and pushed aside for the selfish benefit of others. Many communities are now experiencing what we have experienced for centuries. Oppression. Our life is being destroyed and instead of striving for mutual beneficial outcomes through understanding, the new instruction dictates. Instead of expanding human ri t rights, the new administration limits human rights. Treaties are signed with native american tribes but when it becomes inconvenient the treaties are ignored and broken. Laws provide freedom and equal rights. We are also put in place for all americans. Each week, we see more basic human rights threatened by a disengaged administration. For all american citizens today, both native americans, and nonnative american people, ask the questions. They call the doctrine of discovery i know, i love you, guys. I dont care what you guys say. It is okay for you to be upset. But what the real thing is is that we are here for our youth and the future. We have to understand why we face these obstacles and what is causing this. This is our option of discovery. Doctrine. The doctrine of discovery is an excuse for this country to continue to take our rights. I love you, too. This monument stands for all tribes and all of america. The heart of the resistance. We need to continue the lessons that we have learned so that we can advance in the future. We are in the 21st century, this is no longer a matter of explorers or imperil emperilists versus savages. We deserve to be included, we deserve to be respected, have our basic rights considered when corporations speak to cary out actions that can potentially harm our citizens. At this point in history, we must consider our planet and Natural Resources. We need to shore up the future for our children. You stood with us at Standing Rock and now i ask you to stand with our indigenous communities around the world and together we can rise. At this time, i want to ask the chairman of the acman tribe to share words about a proclamation we passed. The sioux tribe and the yakima tribe jointly ask the United States to revoke the doctrine of christian discovery. Understand why we face obstacles and i want him to come forward and talk about the doctrine. [speaking in native tongue] i come here amongst each and everyone one of you stand. The proclamation referenced by the chairman of the Standing Rock sioux tribe, before i read this proclamation, please, please. We just remember this. We must remain of one voice, one heart, one spirit. To speak for those that can not speak for themselves. There is no dispute in and amongst ourselves of those of us who are standing up that is more important than the future generations. There is foe no dispute. We must be united. It is only why we are unit tded that the spirit will intervene that only in prayer, rounded by faith and guided by ceremony will we overcome. I have a proclamation in a Standing Rock sioux tribe is going to get into an understanding of why this is happening and why we are loosing our fight for the protection of Natural Resources for the generations yet to come. I will read and ask for your patience because it is important to understand. Creator, give me strength. Original nations, proclamations, water is a source of all life on mother earth. A joint statement by the Standing Rock sioux tribe and the yakama nation. We have a message for the world in the words of the dakota water is a source of all life on mother earth. We have spiritual nations that predate the concept of america and its life destroying credo. Our original free existence as distinct nations extend back to the beginning of our time through our creation teachings and recounted through oral history lesson. Love the earth, love the waters of the earth, love all forms of life, care for them with deep and abiding honor and respect and they will sustain you. Be forewarned, if you poison and destroy them they will poison and destroy you. That is natural law. Our ancestors gave the sacred right of pristine and Healing Waters and tear prayers resulted in the rivers, springs, in the respective territories of your nations. Our ancestors used their natural intelligence on earth. They were given and further revolved. Original instruction, natural laws and teachings. Those instructions included the warnings remember, we follow in a manner these ceremony on spiritual patterns of thought and behavior and enable us to maintain a sacred and right relationship with mother earth and support life forms all of future generations. For more than 500 years, greed has worked to destroy our natural law and love for more earth. We have greatly opposed our nations they have our ceremony, teachings and Sacred Places in the name and idea they call christian in western europe. U. S. Supreme Court Rulings have expressed opposing forces claiming a right of dominion over the territories based on the idea that christian nations of europe acquired jurisdiction of lands over heath ns. The u. S. Justice Department Justice made that argument in 19 1954. The Justice Department quote td genesis 120 and the book of psalm from the bible to support christian supremacy. This is in direct conflict of the u. S. Constitution and separation of church and state. We reject the pattern of thought on behavior and commanand writt self described christian monarchs that brought the credo and command here revealed the underlying code of dehumanization used to attack our nation. The code of domination expressed a belief that sacrifices everything on creed even the sacred waters. To realize the unfortunate truth in this statement one only has to think of the lead in the brains of children michigan. When our ancestors cared for them since time and memorial. The government and corporate forces that oppose us have a great disdain for organic raws and teaching. Because the laws and teaching stand in the way of fulfilling their way of riches and wealth. Those forceess that oppose us are blind to the spiritual nature and healing qualities of water. For them, water is a commodity. A mean to create more riches and wealth and a commodity to destroy in search of rich and wealth. Therefore, we stand here offering the following statement as proclamation from the Standing Rock sioux tribe and yakama tribes, we will call on all nations of the earth to stand and sign on us with. The original proclamation of life. We understand our creator has uniquely brought forth our existence. Our creation is a free and original origin, rounded in love and sustained by divine, resulting in an existence and awareness that materialized since time and memorial on Turtle Island. We understand the ideas of domination and dehumanization as these ideas are referenced within the divine and instructions we have faced for our sustained existence of free people. We understand the concept of discovery formally referred to as the doctrine of discovery utilized by the monarchs of europe we understand the doctrine was justified by unholy instruction, issued by written papal including in 1452, 1455 and 1493 and former popes of the Roman Catholic church. We understand the dominating and dehumanizing force of manifest destiny uti destiny utilized in the forz formimation of the form formation of america. And we understand the judicial precedent of the dominance being issued and the modern day disputes with the modern day people of free nations. We understand that the negative ideas of domination and dehumanization warned about to our collective original free people of nations by and through divine instruction is the same negative idea that has been uti uti utiu uti utileized by the catholic church. We understand this shortens the existence of our orange free people. The Roman Catholic church, the monarchs of spain and england and the United States of america, we understand this to be natural law expressed by our creator and memorialized into current and divine instruction. We call upon all original free people of the nations of the world, we call upon the Roman Catholic church, we call upon the monarchs of spain and england and we call upon the United States of america to understand this with us. We call upon the original free people of the nations of the world specifically all native nations within Turtle Island to adopt this proclamation with us. We call upon pope francis, the holy sea, the vatican and collectively the Roman Catholic church to formally and ceremony revoke this including 1452, roman pontiff in 1455, and 1493 that are in direct conflict with the teachings of jesus christ. We call upon the monarch of spain and england to renounce the charters that were put on land that was occupied by the people of Turtle Island. We call upon the United States of america to discontinue the use of the Practical Application of modern day domination and dehumanization acts materialized through the function of legislative and judicial branches of its governance. The historical and modern day application of the spirit, idea, and our concept of domination and dehumanization defending do do you understand . Do you understand . Our friends and relatives, it is only in peace, prayer and only under a united front we will overcome. I have a prayer in my heart for everyone who contributed in their own ways to this fight and struggle for future generations for our natural land. We just unite in this battle. We must unite. I tell you today in regard to the dispute and the challenges and conflict, the associations of the leadership of Standing Rock, that i stand united with their leadership, we are standing here today against the root and the cause behind the domination and the dehumanization of all the losses and all the battles of the stands we made throughout time and will continue to make. I am asking everyone to let us u unite and stand another. Thank you. [speaking in native tongue] how are you doing out there today . We are going to keep it moving. Thank you were your presence, voice and feet on the ground and this march. This is what democracy looks like. Show me what democracy what looks like. Show me what democracy looks like. Our next speaker is a woman named fawn ship who is the president of the Indian Nation there represent her people as voice. It is incredible to see how many voices from different nations came out to support and be part of the conversation. This is us showing the country and world we will not be forgotten and silenced. Please make some noise. Good afternoon. On behalf of our Indian Nation we are honored to stand with Standing Rock. I would like to introduce my fellow Council Member who serves on the Tribal Council with me. We have our youth, and we have our royalty. We stand with Standing Rock and represent the tribes in the northwest through the affiliated tribes of the northwest indians. I serve as Vice President for the National Conference of indians and we have a special message to deliver you know at the beginning of time the creator called our ancestors a very special and strong people to Turtle Island and every four corners of this continent. And the creator envisioned a very Bright Future for every generation that will occupy Turtle Island along with that same instruction, very, very sacred instruction. Number one. Protect mother earth as you would protect your birth mother you should be willing to lay down your life for your own mother and be willing to lay down our life for mother earth. She is sacred. The second instruction, be humble, recognize the power of grand father ocean, recognize that we are not owners of this land and we do not have the authority, nor the will to destroy, desecrate, or harm in any way, shape or form this sacred special gift that is meant to survive from here to eternity because if we take action, and we dont humble ourselves, and we believe we own land, you can buy and sell and exploit, that leaves nothing for the future and for our future generations and that is wrong. Since the beginning of time to present day there is an unbroken change of stewardship, an unbroken chain of honorable stewardship, just stewardship, and we, this generation, want to ensure that not only is it an unbroken chain that is respectful but through many of the centuries, our ancestors fought for two centuries. We see the bloodshed throughout our lands. That was an honor to protect each and every land and territory for future generations. And two centuries of bloodshed did not conquer us. We took the battles the from this great land and our treaties are read when lady justice evaluates the promises that were made every single time those treaties were upheld. Every single time the treaties are deemed the supreme law of the land the United States approved logging operation after logging operation where your lands are our big tall trees were cut, our rivers and streams were pollute
