You know, it might be hard for supporters to see that. But he cares most about creating a country that will make make america one of social justice. Liz, first off. Bernie sanders followers may be completely annoyed and furious but do they jump to donald trump . Hes trying to get them now. Its an interesting question. I think were all trying to figure that out. Personally, i believe that a vast majority, i would say at least 80 of bernie supporters in the primary will eventually vote for Hillary Clinton in the november election. But i dont know if all of them will and frankly thats the beauty of democracy. We all get to walk into the ballot, its a secret ballot, vote for who we want. I do think that both donald trump and Bernie Sanders represent a part of the american populous that is eager for something beyond the establishment current political thinking if you will. I just dont see, though, a vast majority of Bernie Sanders supporters who are on the far left who are for the most part prochoice, antigun, they are progay rights, i just dont see them voting for donald trump. But i do think some of them might. Sure. Liz well, kelly, maybe, you know, i think that liz might be right in that if he picked mike pence as his running mate, who is staunchly prolife, and then youve got the mother issues, the millennials who tended to really swarm toward bernie might not be rushing up. But lets talk a bit about last night. Michelle obama listen, we know where lou dobbs stands on a lot of this stuff. But when lou dobbs said Michelle Obamas speech was incredible. She came out and did something without that cringeful anger it felt, at least to a lot of viewers. You as a republican strategist here, what does Something Like that do for Hillary Clinton with the presumed backdrop of a lot of angry Bernie Sanders voters still undecided . Well, i think Michelle Obama was the savior of last night. If you looked at Elizabeth Warrens speech, it was very underwhelming. Hillary clinton, it was up to her to make the case for Hillary Clinton. And it was expected. She Michelle Obama and her husband had been in the white house for the last seven years. They are going to make the case that america is already great again. They want Hillary Clinton to win because that means that is his preserving his legacy. So i dont think it was unexpected, i think its personal, and i think Michelle Obama is a great order. But if were she there last night, i think things could have erupted into complete chaos. And were still seeing that today. The fact that theyre still haggling over what Bernie Sanders role is going to be tonight means theres a Great Division within the Democratic Party. Liz well, liz, you get to answer that because you have a better read on whats going on. But it looks like there is still some division due to the gigantic cyber hack that was involving wikileaks and 20,000 emails, will them purporting to show that it really wasnt a fair fight between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. Well, i definitely think the timing of the release of the emails was not coincidental. The fact that they came out just 24 to 48 hours before the start of the Democratic Convention does definitely give it some pause as to who exactly was behind it and what their purpose was. But i will agree frankly as a democrat, i was very upset to see that the Democratic National committee, which needs to stay neutral in a democratic primary, clearly wasnt staying as neutral as it should be. Now, dont think that because of that the primary results are wrong or somehow rigged . No, i dont believe that. I do believe that a majority of democratic primary voters in america voted for Hillary Clinton. But i am disappointed in the party, and i think, yes, there are a lot of bernie supporters who are disappointed in the party. However, i think what youre going to see is this Convention Goes on tonight, wednesday night, and certainly thursday night when she takes the stage, were going to come together as a party. No. I think it has to do with the way they want to roll out this election and the campaign and certainly the convention. They wanted, we got to get unity first. Last night was very, very much about unity. It was about bernie and the Incredible Campaign that he ran and bringing on board all of both hillary as well as bernie people. That is what it was about. I thought it worked very, very well. Certainly were going to deal with isis and terrorism and security. Well probably see some of that tonight and more of it tomorrow and certainly on thursday night. But i think we also need to understand that theres a very serious comparison here. I just came back from a congressional trip to korea, the philippines and japan. And i got to tell you, those folks are apoplectic about words coming out of Donald Trumps mouth about alliances. They know that the American Alliance is absolutely critical for security in that area. If we were to back away in any way from korea, we would have a huge war on our hands there. Similarly japan needs the United States and we need both the philippines, korea and japan in a very, very tight, absolutely necessary alliance. Liz well, lets just get back to terror though. Sure. Liz this attack in france involved a syrian, a syrian who was trying to get to syria. Twice using fake identities, as best we understand. This, i am telling you is in the frontal lobe of voters consciousness here in the United States. Right. Liz we love our country. We want to be safe in our country. And these, these activated lone wolf cells who pulled off killing 49 innocents at the club in orlando, has people wondering what is hillary going to do . Youre saying you do expect some mention tonight. Her husband, president bill clinton, is expected to talk about that. You know, do you think that he will mention terror . What is your best guess . Well, certainly terror is on all of our minds, certainly on our leaders and speakers exactly what they are going to talk about, i have not read their speeches but i do know this. That is we have a serious problem. We have one that is going to be extremely difficult to deal with because not only do we have the people that could come from overseas, so that is abetting that has to do with the visa system and how were going to ultimately deal with isis in syria and iraq. And that is the thing we chatted about just a moment ago. With regard to speakers here, you bet it is on all of our minds, very definite part of what we need to do Going Forward is to address this. Whether it will be said tonight by one or other speakers, i dont know, but i do know, i talked to president clinton just yesterday, and this issue came up about safety and security here in the United States.
