FBC Making Money With Charles Payne March 30, 2017

Do you think his instructions were to do it . Charles congressman Chris Collins won a president comes earliest backers on capitol hill pouring more gasoline on the whole thing saying there is only one phrase to finger point and it should go toward the Freedom Party or Freedom Caucus. Of course the two will never meet with the Freedom Caucus and with capitals never in other words both sides trying into position to joining me to discuss lisa both former congressman joe walsh and. Mark mark macklin. Guys, this is one heck of a donnybrook. I think we all saw coming last week. Its interesting guys, did my own poll and 61 of my timeline felt that this was all paul ryans fault that President Trump obviously 100 on paul ryan and now its on. Charles im so tired of everybody saying that its not Donald Trumps fault. This was his tweet. You know what it was a really really stupid thing to do. Donald trump ran against the d. C. Establishment. The only political people in d. C. Who were with him on that are the members of the Freedom Caucus. They are brothers in arms and for him not to go after the democrats are not even to go after the republican establishment that put that bill in front of everybody for him to turn on the conscience of the party is unconscionable. Charles what about the notion though that he was elected to get things done and he wants to get them done in a hurry. He wants to reinvigorate the economy and maybe they are looking at this spill saying hey its Freedom Caucus. We understand where you are coming from and we saluted that these are under roasted expectations and a framework of what we have inherited. Charles i agree. Donald trump did not know what was in that bill. All he wanted was a victory in the Freedom Caucus stood at the wall to make sure that victory didnt happen, but that bill didnt pass. Its all about winners and losers with him but charles this is a war that he cannot win. This will divide the party if he continues to go at the conscience of the party. Charles we do know mathematically the Freedom Caucus and the democrats can bind or 216 votes we can anything past if you go against both but what he is trying to do is real these guys in saying hey i dont want to be tough on you. He was nonpulse if you will last week buddies getting agitated right now. They want to get health care done in part its tough to get the right score on the rest of the agenda if they cant get a break with some of these deficit reductions in health care. The guy came saying he was going to frame his boss and he now looks like the creature from the black within. What hes separating himself from his own base. I live out here in grassroots land and i can tell you in his base its 99 and 910 are against what he did to the Freedom Caucus. They are celebrating what the Freedom Caucus did to prevent this bill and is undercutting his own support among his strongest supporters. Charles although i must tell you i have folks at my twitter timeline and other social media that are saying we love the Freedom Caucus but you guys are starting to mess up. It feels like the pendulum is turning and the tide is turning that i want to bring in lisa boothe. Its a tough one, right . This is really tough because i think its the Freedom Caucus and the tea party that sets the stage iv the eventual donald Trump Victory to the white house or this whole Grassroots Movement but are they overplaying their hand . Look i think republicans often engage in the circular firing squad and i have a Novel Concept that everyone is to blame for health care. The president could have done more to spearhead it and leadership and speaker writer could have been more inclusive. Charles he had these big rallies, President Trump and he expressed his support for almost every single day and he did press conferences. You also have the Freedom Caucus and moderates who held out. I think everyone has to share and not seeing the Health Care Bill move forward. Charles lisa some people have looked at this right away and said President Trump you are being set up by the establishment. What paul ryan is asking is not what the public wants and not what you were elected for. Can we go to that is perhaps the real root of the problem . I would argue President Trump was elected if he ran on being a dealmaker and someone that wants to see things get done. Now i think its very early and hes going to get tax reform done. These are growing pains and they party has not been in a leadership position. There are lessons to be learned here but the only way people are going to come individuals involved in this are going to learn from this lesson is everyone assumes and accepts the belief that they had in the failure of health care moving forward. Charles accepting that lame, or what point do we cross the rubicon and another words there is growing animosity. Jim jordan was on tv a lot. He was trying to be diplomatic if you will but of course amash was like listen be pushed back immediately. At what point do these conflicting parties who have everything in common and want the same goals push each other to the point of no return . I think everyone has a stake in the desire to get something done. Thats what they ran on that they were going to get Health Care Reform done in tax reform done so this desire to accomplish those things and to achieve those things to go home to their various districts i would say we got these things done. I think that common desire is ultimately whats going to see things happen over the finish line but ultimately there will have to be compromises from eryone to get that done. Charles you know joe, if we were watching a Football Game and we saw tom brady report of his teammates on the sideline they would say thats real leadership and thats what you youve got to do and more than likely the guy would make the gamewinning catch. Im embellishing a little but. But you know where President Trump is going now is simply the kind of leadership and hes got to with these guys into shape so when they get on the bill they win. Charles the analogy would be brady goes to belichick and says get rid of those two offensive lineman i dont want them back next year they are not with us. Thats a giant step. Look i lived with this. John boehner did this. John boehner went after us conservatives every election cycle. For donald trump to do the same thing right now is really outrageous. Charles mark i interviewed representative dave bryan last night and remember he perhaps won one of the biggest upsets in political history before donald trump by removing eric cantor who is certainly the establishment. Take a listen to what he had to say. Senator Freedom Caucus voted with the rest of her conscious Conscious Congress to repeal obamacare so how it gets to be that we are the Sticking Point i dont get it. The bill has shifted, the bill has 17 approval in the polls probably because prices will go down. Prices go up 15 to 20 until 2020 within the confines of an obamacare structure. We are trying to get to yes thats true but our criteria has never shifted. Charles they are trying to get, i know you were a Tea Party Guy and you feel like their Freedom Caucus is getting a raw deal but what should they compromise on and what should they give up . Will look heres what i think the bottom line is. I disagree with police on this. They didnt get elected to do something. They got elected to live up to their promises. Pointblank including donald trump and including paul ryan repeatedly on numerous occasions promised repeal. What they delivered was not even close to repeal. It got to get close. They have got to get very close to that. I think its doable and i think they can get 85 of the way without going through reconciliation. They have to get serious with the repeal because that was their promise to the American People. I worked for representative mark meadows and i have respect for the guy but the reality is you also have moderates to deal with as well so this is the difficulty in getting this bill passed the finish line but if we are having this much problem in the house was going to happen in the senate . The republicans can only and you have big differences with senator ted cruz or rand paul or the moderates that expressed concern over the medicaid aspect like Shelly Moore Capito or murkowski or collins. If thats a problem and an obstacle there is a pretty deep divide between various sites and no one is going to get everything they want. Some point they need to figure something out that will satisfy everyone. Charles President Trump said this is extraordinarily complicated but if they cant do it now will never happen. Guys thank you all very much. On the trump economic agenda that focuses on tax reform but ive got to tell you something even that is not as simple as it sounds. We are going to go through that next. Charles 73 of voters in a new fox news poll calling for quick tax or form but tackling the trump economic agenda simplifying the tax code is not going to be as easy it seems very joining me to discuss vince coglianese. One of the things to talk about is some offsets because its going to lower the rate so much and people are saying where it is a from . To the come from Health Insurance exclusion something with iras for instance may be mortgage interested actions . Those are all areas that have been talked about but we didnt hear much about that on the campaign. Write and also youre going to simplify the tax code you will have to getid of deductions and all the way acrosstheboard. Lower taxes take care of the picking winners and losers in the economy for the tax code and make it simple. Theres a lot of resistance to that. First of all when you get rid of deductions alternately there are industries or individuals including specific taxpayers who are affected by that an ultimately the tax preparation industry doesnt want to see those, which was drawn by the way when it came to taxes doesnt want to see the pasco simplifies to the point where they are useless. This idea we can mail in your tax return and gives an eight check. They want to keep this thing complicated enough that you need help. Charles of course we all love to have adriana on a postcard and of course if they get rid of all the deductions we might get you might also be paying higher taxes. This is seriously complicated issue. It certainly is and i dont think tax reform is going to be any easier to pass than the failed health care endeavor. I think one area in consensus they could find given democrats and republicans both want to lower taxes for the middle class in both parties want to support small businesses. Where is going to start getting complicated and devices is a Corporate Tax rates, lowering the Corporate Tax rate. Both was supported dramatic tax cut and return those companies and jobs that come where they belonged the democrats prefer the strategy of punishing corporations with higher taxes so there is a lot of conflict here. That being said when you cut tax rates you have to make up the shortfall somewhere else especially if republicans are calling for tax reform to be revenueneutral. Wheres donald trump going to make up the shortfall . If you want a new tax base you will create new tax revenue there. You have to dramatically cut spending. Fraud waste and abuse in our government in another area where President Trump should take a hard look at is universities. They are forprofit industries and they are getting this massive loophole of taxexempt status and we are losing billions of dollars in tax money charles i think i would be popular. I believe some democrats would vote for lower tax rates particular and cities trying to lower business or would like to see job growth so i think a big problem is going to come on the individual side in the argument that rich people are being rewarded. Ironically listening to the rate at her lines between President Trump i think thats where rich people are going to lose out maybe on some of these deductions. The means tested benefits and things like that. I think theres a whole bunch of headwinds that the trump people are going to run into in here are some of them. One is that Steve Mnuchin is described as being more liberal on tax policy and thats not to the Freedom Caucus say you have conservative republicans and meanwhile democrats by and large have shown no evidence whatsoever that they want to cooperate with trump on anything even think that they like so while republicans will say you were holding up the tax cut for the middle class why are you doing that democrats are going to respond to Something Like you are making the rich get richer and they will continue to persist because they derive a fundraising benefit out of always been the opposition even on legislation where they agree. I hate to play this but i dont have a rosy view of this. Charles it sounded like lowhanging fruit. Im still optimistic it will happen but its going to be a lot more complicated than we thought. They are. Vice president should send a message to Jeffrey Immelt in order to play you have to pay income taxes but its important to know because ge pays zero in federal taxes. In fact they keep every tiny loophole in tax credits imaginable and their ceo has the gumption to go out there and try to criticize President Trump who by the way did pay his taxes media for those of you looking out there. Jeffrey immelt is the biggest hypocrite. He was the chairman of president obama stimulus which created zero jobs and borrowed 800 billion dollars. As just another ceo. Hes no jack welch. Charles hes no jack welch and by the way in the Fourth Quarter of last year they got back 700 million. Add having said that we are seeing this more and more and i think its a tough thing particularly when its disingenuous. I think it muddies the waters in and makes the years in washington d. C. Which already barely grinds ahead even that much more sticky. Who cares what he says . Didnt he also say he wanted to level the Playing Field for American Companies . Donald trumps doing that by taking away unnecessary regulations and creating a free market. Why would we put our companies in america under such a burden and strain. As an example ge subsidiary to india not having the same regulatory environment. My gosh this was so hypocritical about it charles. Its just unbelievable. Charles a more hands on approach is with starbucks Howard Schultz who i say is going to run for president in 2020 and has done a lot of things. Sun has been very tense and more recently the whole issue charlie of trying to get people to talk bipartisan coffee drinking if you will. Is that also out of balance in your mind or is it something thats good Corporate Governance . Governance . We have to also remember starbucks at a couple of months ago they wanted to train their employees to be able to have a substandard discussions with their customers about the rising Race Relations in this country. They also said they wanted to hire 100,000 refugees or something in the next 10 years or some deal like this. By going to starbucks for not going to have a substandard conversation because most of them are going to universities and being indoctrinated far to the left. But look, this is Howard Schultz trying to pay his way to be the great healer and hes a demagogue and nothing but that. Charles theres no doubt any role that involves anything more than handing over products. Gorell controversy is if charlie and i go to get a starbucks who is going to be the liberal in that group . I group . I dont know of thats the real joke here. My gosh its a waste of time. Charles guys thank you both very much. Coming up the war on immigration continues to heat up in ratchets up every single day. More and more sanctuary cities are firing back on the Trump Administration. Seattle is the latest. We will be right back. Now on the next page youll see a breakdown of costs. What . Its just. We were going to ask about it but we werent sure when. So thanks. Being upfront is how edward jones makes sense of investing. You may sometimes suffer from a dry mouth. Thats why theres biotene. And biotene also comes in a handy spray. So you can moisturize your mouth anytime, anywhere. Biotene, for people who suffer from dry mouth symptoms. Charles President Trump fighting in immigration battle on all fronts. I. C. E. Releasing a report yesterday showing up to 2825 detainees issued nationwide between february 4 and 10th of this year. 47 of them were declined. New york city the top offender releasing 12 accused criminals and get this, just 20 out of the more than 530 refugees settled in the United States since 2010 less than 1 were brought to hawaii and of course hawaii is a state where a federal judge not only knocked down the trump temporary moratorium but overnight extended it nationwide also yesterday seattle against the Trump Administration which well watch here the mayor and what he had to say about it. This week the u. S. Attorney general Jeff Sessions told American Cities that they are breaking the law in making their communities unsafe. Apparently the Trump Administration, their war on facts has now become a war on cities. And our values of inclusion, of community, our values are the values that we will stand by. Charles joining me now to discuss former illinois congressman joe walsh and pablo minnery caper that may start start with my buddy in the studio. First of all if theres a legal aspect to this that most people say the constitution is pretty clear on this and that this is a purview of the federal government. And then there is the issue of illegal entrants into this country which is an automatic crime and the issue of harboring these folks who commit Violent Crimes on top of being here illegally. They have the red carpet rolled out saying come here and we will give you safe haven. Heres the problem you are right theres a legal issue but lets start with this notion of an i. C. E. Detainer. I mean come on lets get real. Its not a detainer. Its a request so it sounds really scary but the state in actuality arent doing anything wrong. They have the right to say no. We are not honoring your requests. Charles why do they have that right . If someone is in theountry illegally and in many of these cases that come with additional crimes lie would not local on enforcement corporate with the federal government . The notion of this detainer is Law Enforcement shows up that early to a local jail and says i know this person scheduled to be released. He or she has done their time and they should be able to go. We need you to hold them for another 48 hours. Theres no hearing and theres no judge deciding whether or not thats appropriate. With an i. C. E. Agent merely saying i need a couple of days to decide what i want to do with this person. Who has every right to go home. Thats whats wrong with it. Charles joe im so confused when people enter the country illegally and all of a sudden they have access to the constitution like these ranks cover them. I dont know where that all began. Feels to me if you are here illegally in america and you dont have the same rights as americans. Charles dont get confused. The beauty of this issue is to the American People its not complicated. These mayors are protecting people who are in this country illegally especially violent criminals who are here. Bring this fight on. They want to go after trump and if they want to sue the Trump Administration bring this fight on because the American People get this. This is wrong. Its wrong that we have local jurisdictions protecting violent criminals who are here illegally. I dont care about the legal mumbojumbo. American people understand how wrong that is. Charles pablo you were with the Hispanic Chamber of commerce or your business guy and yet you have the sympathies and i think conflated Legal Immigration with a Legal Immigration which in my mind is a great disservice to the people waiting in line and waiting their turn. Theres an economic reason for legalizing the end document a population basically in the sense that these are people that do pay taxes. They are active contributed contributors in their community. They would be able to compete on the active Playing Field with other american so one of the things we need to understand is the legal mumbojumbo isnt important to you the dollars and cents are certainly important to all americans. Right now i. C. E. Is going to local Law Enforcement saying hey guys we hold these immigrants for couple more days and not only do they not have any standing to do that they are also not reimbursing the local jail so local communities are having to shoulder the burden of this wild donald trump attempts a Big Government takeover. Charles ive read where these illegals households are in some form of government assistance so if you net out the true cost to the taxpayer it may be wiser to round up those who are contributing to this economy and asked them to go back and get in the back of the lighting comeback at some point. Guys im sorry we are out of time. In the meanwhile guys the market, start market member that . And ended high of the day the nasdaq an alltime high. Underlying fundamentals are amazing and by the way your 401 k you may have one but you are not doing it right. An expert who is going to show you exactly what to do. Stick around. Charles our Charlie Gasparino between the New York Stock Exchange and the london Stock Exchange which will probably be the largest ipo ever charles dont look now but the market is coming back nicely and its all happening with very little fanfare which for me makes this move even more precedent. The tech driven nasdaq finished mom timethe best performing s p sector where the financials and remember just a week ago wall street was screaming sell the financials particularly in those regional banks but it looks like they found support. As you can see from the charge there bouncing off of them pretty nice. For those overall who are concerned about this market coming on too fast including ed schifley stop me on the elevator and asked if the market ever gets too high, part of that was a dig in my neverending optimism. The fourthquarter profit should make everyone feel better. Fourthquarter profits are higher now for the second consecutive session and 2016 very impressive. The street was looking for 4 move. Remember the mothers milk of stock rallies not in terms of money but the bottom line an im still optimistic abouthis rally. I can only hope that you are in this market at least through 401 k program but even there you probably arent maximizing your return with the nasdaq. I want to bring in right now to discuss 401 k s and what is your best strategy the author of gps for your retirement. Welcome to the show. First, 401 k s everyone has them and they get a very limited amount of offerings. Everyone does the same thing to should there be a different approach for genx and baby boomers . First of all they Love Technology so they want to invest in technology so they have a sliver portfolio to add on technology. Facebook amazon netflix google, think technology does well in investing in those. Charles its interesting because millennials are the most cautious of feels like. Sitting on cash and a save their money for the coachella concert. So what is it about these loyal workers that they should be urged to maximize . One thing that Albert Einstein the eighth wonder of the world hes a smart dude Albert Einstein is compound interest. Think about the numbers and how big they get. The 20s is a big time to put money way before the kids come in the mortgage and stuff like that. Compound interest over time is staggering for that particular group. Charles what are some of the other issues there because a lot of times i will look at peoples portfolios and they think they are diversified. They own 10 funds with these fancy names like new frontier fund. They are all the same stocks. They all on the same stocks and they wonder why they can never outperform the market. You can take a group of choices you have match them up with morningstar and see which ones make the cut. You wonder why charles the next step and see what they are. You combine these funds and you see the overlap we are talking about. 80 stock is 20 bond funds. They will play offense when the market comes in and when i said von funds stay away from highyield to incorporate because the act at stocks. People say my Corporate Bond fund is now a stock. You want treasuries or government bonds at the 20 so in the comes and youre able to get good out of that. Charles thats your insurance policy. Thats where the money happens. Charles if you change your opinion for older folks . We are living longer and i read some work you hit 65 there is an 85 chance youll hit 85. Living longer we want to be more active. These old formulas they used to have, are those still in play or are some people being more aggressive . It depends on the environment and right now we have the wind blowing at our back. The dow is than stumbling a bit but you have to take the environment and the environment is very fair role. A baby boomer could be 65, 35 to 70 in stocks 35 in bonds. They can be a lot more aggressive than the generation beforehand. Charles more americans are starting to come back and starting to rededicate themselves to require retirement in general. The pensions are not there anymore. The only way to save for most people is through pay plan a little bit of the time. It comes out of your paycheck pretax. What else we do for retirement . How will you put food on the table if you are not putting into a 401 k . Charles another one of your books is not your fathers retirement. Ken thanks a lot. A while. We are talking about the manufacturing renaissance. The guys are very passionate about this. Its happening. You will love what i have to say. Be right back. So how old do you want to be when you retire . Uhh, i was thinking around 70. Alright, and before that . You mean after that . No, im talking before that. Do you have things you want to do before you retire . Oh yeah sure. Ok, like what . But i thought we were supposed to be talking about investing for retirement . Were absolutely doing that. But theres no law you cant make the most of today. What do you want to do . Id really like to run with the bulls. Wow. Yea. Hope youre fast. I am. Charles we have breaking news coming out right now from the wall street journal which is reporting that mike flynn has offered to testify in exchange for immunity. Joining me now andrew peak and bob cusack. Andrew i will start with you. We understand the come Intelligence Community very well. This is a bombshell. It is a bombshell. Mike flynn is probably the most respected Intelligence Officer of his generation. If he is telling the committee that he is willing to testify in exchange for immunity it means that probably this goes a little bit deeper and who he was talking to during the campaign and what he told pence. Charles of course over the next 24 hours or how long it takes to arrange such testimony speculation is going to go everywhere on this thing but to Andrews Point it feels like something happen. We know russia, we know that they didnt determine the outcome of elections what possibly do think they could be looking for . Thats a great question. Mike flynn and the reason why he is a National Security adviser is because he wasnt truthful to the Vice President on this discussion with Russian Diplomats of the seeking immunity it means that he knows a lot and can give up something very big and i agree theres going to be a lot of speculation but i also think its dangerous to speculate on exactly what he knows. Without a doubt they are going to give him immunity hes going to have to have some very inside information which you might have who knows and the big question is at the fia is investigating was the collision between the Trump Campaign and russia. Thats a big question obviously is somebody say. Charles of the story and we just got off the presses. He has made the offer to the fbi the house and Senate Intelligence committee through his lawyer but so far no takers Officials Say in his lawyer mr. Flynns attorney Robert Kleiner has declined comment. Andrew i for one thought this was just a sideshow. I didnt take it seriously until the last couple of weeks with all the infighting which added some intrigue to it and then we came in to the day with the news that perhaps nunes representative nunes had gone to the white house and got information of these from to white house sources on this before that infamous visit. So do you think that the white house should try to get in front of this now . I know that sean spicer keeps saying Everyone Wants to wait and let it all come out before it gets really out of hand. Actually charles i think your initial instinct was right. Its important to different shape this which is michael flints issue, he personally seeking immunity for all sorts of foreign contact was he might have broken from the basic question which you pointed out in your intro which is did these russian shenanigans affect the outcome of the election and there is no evidence that they did. In fact they bring to mind in 1996 the clinton fundraising scandal where the justice was investigating illegal chinese donations to the dnc that both parties acknowledge were made but ultimately it didnt affect the tenets of our democracy because it did not affect the outcome. Charles of course bob again many folks are saying all this stuff is normal. You are in the transition and you have a position with the new administration and you reach out to certain people around the world, not just russians so how much do you think is a legitimate issue that we should be focused on to this degree . How much of it is made up a fake news or just an effort to delegitimize the Trump Administration . Certainly theres so much we dont know but the same time we have to remember that mike flynn is in a lot of trouble. He did not initially that he had a conversation with the russian diplomat which could be the case. Thats not so abnormal to the incoming National Security adviser but he wasnt truthful to the Vice President and of course that hold transcript was leaked which was an illegal leak at the same time flynn is in some hot water and maybe he does have a bombshell and maybe he doesnt maybe thats why the fbi is saying no we are not going to take that deal until we know exactly what you have. Charles i would say i really hope and this is a political in terms of either side of the aisle but we find out the unmasking and why and the Trump Administration reverses obamas lastsecond bills and tightens up our look at Intelligence Community so if you cant have these personal wars and vendettas. Thank you guys for coming on tonight. This is major breaking loot breaking news. We are going to talk about the manufacturing renaissance. There is hope out there. In fact you dont need a fouryear degree to get your license. That is next. No matter how dusty the room or how high the pollen count, flonase allergy relief keeps your eyes and nose clear. Flonase helps block 6 key inflammatory substances that cause nasal congestion and itchy, watery eyes. For relief beyond the nose. Flonase. At crowne plaza we know Business Travel isnt just business. Theres this. a bit of this. Why not . Your hotel should make it easy to do all the things you do. Which is what we do. Crowne plaza. Were all business, mostly. No, im scheduling time to go oto the bank to get a mortgage. Ugh, youre using a vacation day to go to the bank . I know, right . Just go to lendingtree. Com. Get up to five loan offers to compare side by side for free. Wow, thats great. Wait, how did you get in my kitchen . Oh, i followed a raccoon in through your doggie door. [chittering] [gasps] get a Better Mortgage on your schedule. Not the banks. Lendingtree. When banks compete, you win. Just think of him as a big cat. [chittering] with rabies. Charles the manufacturing renaissance has begun. According to the bureau of labor statistics, there are 364,000 manufacturing job openings in january, thats up 40,000 from last october. Now theres only one problem, and its all about skills. Last month the manufacturers or in the philadelphia area were asked a supplemental question during the fed survey, and their replies were eye opening. In fact, more than 60 say theres a labor shortage, but 68 point to a skills mismatch. Now, whats even more amazing is that the skills mismatch, its not about computers. Heck, they say even basic reading and writing are bigger challenges than computers. But its the ability for people to actually use these machines and these tools. And what makes this even more remarkable, almost 88 of these jobs that are ready right now, they do not require a college degree, but there are organizations like the Louisiana Economic Development, l. E. D. , program thats out there working. The great news is that were on the cusp of a manufacturing renaissance, and this is the moment to seize it. Joining me by phone to discuss is the executive director of the Louisiana Economic Development program, paul hellton. Paul, thanks for joining us. Absolutely. Thank you, charles. Charles paul, when i look at these numbers and i look at the jobs out there, and the fact is these manufacturers are saying we have the jobs, but we dont have the folks who can do them, and we dont teach this in high school anymore, is whats the solution . Is it operations like yours . I think that operations like ours are definitely part of the solution, but theyre not the whole solution. It really encompasses using both the technical colleges, the Community Colleges and even into the high schools in creating those different certificates and those programs that kids are go through can go through to go ahead and obtain those necessary skills. Charles you know, at the turn of the Century America embraced that sort of german educational system that created a great industrial might. I mean, we know germany an amazing industrial country, and then we gave it away. Do you think that the notion that everyone has to be a s. T. E. M. Graduate science, technology, engineering, math is overblown and we need to start getting these kids an education where theres jobs waiting for them right now . I absolutely agree with that. One of the things that businesses are saying to us is that theyre not looking for this fouryear degree, and as a matter of fact, the fouryear degree only applies to a very small amount of jobs that are out there. What theyre really looking for is really just the demonstrated skills that they need to go ahead and run these welding machines, the machine machines, all of these other pieces. And just like you had put in the graphic earlier, even down to reading and writing skills, being able to use measuring tools, many of those pieces. Charles paul, there are some folks who think, well, government shouldnt be involved in this at all, but i say if the folks in vegas are going to spend 700 million on a football stadium, why not take taxpayer money to beef up the citizens of these states . You guys have a pretty Good Relationship with the state of louisiana, right . Oh, absolutely. The state of louisiana is a major player with this mainly because what were trying to do is to try to take those assets and then roll it back into the schools that we use to go ahead and deliver the skills training. Charles give us an idea, because we dont have much time, but i want people to understand. Your program will has been arour a while, the kind of success youve had and how youve helped people get back into the job market. Absolutely. You know, over the course of our program so far weve worked with over 160 companies, and weve helped to place 25,000 people, over 25,000 people into the different industries. Charles paul, what youre doing is great stuff. Its a model for everyone, and i want the folks out there to know we are in the midst, right on the cusp of a manufacturing renaissance in this country. There are a lot of jobs out there. You dont have to have a fouryear degree, but you need skills. Thanks a lot more watching. Now heres lou dobbs, keep out right here on fox business. Lou tensions rise in the Republican Party after House Speaker paul ryan tried to ram, unsuccessfully, health care through the house. President trump took aim at the conservative house Freedom Caucus, for some reason blaming them for the house bills failure. He tweeted they will hurt the entire republican agenda if they dont get on the team. Members of the house Freedom Caucus say they just want the best bill for the American People. This is our best chance but not this bill. So, i mean, look, it was just a postponement. Some people the sky is falling, the world is going to end.
