Police are now saying theres more to this story than originally thought. The victim tammy myers, and her 22yearold son went out looking for the suspect who ultimately shot her dead. It all started when an angry driver began yelling at myers and her 15yearold daughter during a driving lesson. The man unleashed his fury after the teenager honked the horn because she says he was speeding around them. She was getting a driving lesson so she figured this person was speeding and they needed to be corrected. When the two got home myers picked up her 22yearold son who had a gun and went out to find the road rage suspect. They eventually did find the car but returned home instead. Thats when a gray\rfourdoor car pulled up and someone opened fire. There was a volley of rounds that were fired from that vehicle. Police say a bullet from the suspects gun hit myers in the head. But this notion that he recognizes that somehow hes insane, that hes feeling paranoid, that hes feeling schizophrenic, in my mind, that creates real questions for the defense about that insanity defense because typically im not a psychiatrist but i spoke to one yesterday. Typically that kind of selfrecognition i feel paranoid, i feel schizophrenic, i dont know whether im insane is not usually typical of someone who cannot recognize right from wrong. He appears to be recognizing right from wrong, problems in his life on that day. As we look at that video right there werent there also stories that he was high on weed and he was drunk as well . That looks like a guy who was drunk. Alcohol, weed is not an excuse for murder. Its not recognized under texas\rlaw. That is not a defense. Insanity is defense. Knowing right from wrong.
