The president is going to act unilaterally issuing an executive order to allow people here illegally to stay, but he has reversed course in an interview last night with Nbcs Chuck Todd he explained why. It sounds like you are concerned the public wouldnt support what you did. What im saying is that im going to act because its the right thing for the country, but its going to be more sustainable and more effective if the public understands what the facts are on immigration, what weve done on unaccompanied children and why its necessary. And the politics shifting is democrats calling up the president , senators like kay hagan from North Carolina in a tight senate race saying, dont take executive action. Its going to hurt my chances of reelection. Weve heard the last couple of weeks about senators who are vulnerable in the midterm elections saying, please dont come to our state. I dont want to be seen with you or associated with you, so we are calling them noflyover states. So it is political on the democratic side, but the president , of course, is still finding a way to blame republicans. Heres what a white house official says, because of the republicans extreme po politicization of the issue, the president believes it would be harmful to the policy itself and to the longterm prospects for comprehensive Immigration Reform to announce. In a new report from abc news, the president will make his speech this week containing new details. Now, this comes as the pentagon continues to pound isis from above and iraq. Specifically in the western part of the country around the hadifa dam. Including the latest assault, the u. S. Has carried out 138 strikes in iraq since isis started causing problems. Thats one of the administrations toughest statements on isis, but this message is making troops frustrating and confused according to some sources as one retired army officer recently said, u. S. What do you think the reaction from the front line troops is to the Vice President s statement and the administrations statement, in general. Talking as a former ranger and former Operations Officer and cia, as a Senior Adviser with congress, i have never seen morale this low. Morale right now is tanking, and i think that theres two main reasons for that. First is what youre hearing everybody is talking about. The disjointed message coming from the administration, the Vice President and president dont seem to be on the same page. But the other side of this coin here is whats going on with congress as something that very few people are talking about. Youre going to have people throughout the day here on fox, congressmen and women, who are going to talk about what they knew about isis, about whatss going on, but if they have all known about this threat, i think we have to ask them the question, what have they been doing about it . What have they been how have they been pushing the administration . Lets also look at sequestration because sequestration is also another major factor in everybody that im talking to from the Intelligence Community to just the regular army about their effect on morale. There are a lot of things beating down the men and women on the front lines. Right. A lot of that money is going to boot camp, but why are the troops discouraged . Why are the troops low with morale, because they do know what the plan is or dont know what the plan is . I think it is complex because there is no plan coming from the administration. You hear the president say one thing, the Vice President says another. Our troops on the ground are not being utilized in the manner that they are trained. For instance, my former regiment, the 75th ranger regiment, has been deployed in defensive operation in iraq. Thats not the way that my former unit has been trained. So what we see the administration misusing key military assets because they really dont know anything about the military and their defense, they are not really listening to people in the defense department. Again, i said this time and time again. The National Security council is really being run by politicians, not run by National Security professionals. Yes. Finally the white house said repeatedly we are not, the u. S. Is not going to send troops physically to the region to fight isis. Do you think thats true and can they hold to that . Well, we know, tucker, it is absolutely not true. The administration has now gone to a second deployment of actual troops. And so we know that thats not true, but what we need to sort of see is that we need to back up and ask the president , okay, lets not let the Mission Creep set in here, but lets go back to identify what the goal is. He still hasnt done it. Lets develop a strategy and execute that. But what hes doing is really and i thie endangering the american men and women without that strategy. Thats the goal. They look harmless, but a new report claims some cell towers are fake and could be tapping your phone. At least 19 fake cell phone towers popped up across the United States. The interceptors can spy on your calls and hijack your data. How secure is your cell phone and who is behind this . Buzz bruiner is the director of the company that first detected these towers. Buzz, nice to see you this morning. Good morning. This is troubling to me. Where did the cell phone towers come from . We know the military uses them and creates them to pop up in Different Communications to talk to soldiers on the battlefield, but this seems entirely different, doesnt it . Yes, it does. What makes it different is a cell tower is really not a tower, its an Electronic Device such as the size of a suitcase or a laptop. It can emulate becoming a cell tower. And that cell tower gets in between a target phone and the legitimate network tower, and then your phone will lock on to that particular interceptor and they will be able to procure your information and bounce that signal right back to the network tower. So explain this to me because you have developed with your kryptophone technology, you started to notice the fake cell tower signals trying to lock on to your phone and were getting alerts on your phone. So do we know where the cell towers are coming from . Who is putting them there . Well, we dont know, as you mentioned, there are Government Agencies that use cell interceptors and Law Enforcement that uses cell interceptors. Then theres people looking to capture corporate secrets, highvalue information that use cell interceptors illegally. This is incredibly troubling to me. We know the Los Angeles Police department have tapped into phones to find tax cheats and the Law Enforcement agencies are using it as you put out, but it is up credibly troubling to know somebody is jumping on my phone. For instance, i pay for a tnd at and assume my signal is attaching itself to an at t cell phone tower and not another cell phone tower intercepting my signal, but in light of the nsa stuff i shouldnt be surprised, i guess. Youre correct. At t really cant control anything that happens because the interceptor gets between your phone and the at t tower. The issue with the rogue cell towers, which are these cell interceptors, is just that. People with highvalued information are subject to being intercepted because highvalue information is just that, it can be sold in the open market. We have corporate spies, there are also governments that bring interceptors into the country and look to intercept highvalue information for political and economic gains. The idea that the chinese and russians could be bringing interceptors here into the United States its easy to build a cell interceptor with todays advanced technology. Wow.
