Governor whitmer in michigan defending her aggressive lockdown measures, Governor Cuomo in new york seemingly more ready to open things up soon. It was hitting us incredibly hard and thats why we had to have a unique solution. Even though it was more aggressive than other states, we have started to push down the curve and saved lives in the process. This is a balance that we collectively need to strike. I want to get back to work, i want to get back to work, my kids want out of the house, i need to do something, i understand. We have to do it intelligently. The mandate to stay at home and stay away from each other is still very much in effect until we can break the back of this curve. Were going to move as one state, recognizing youve got density issues in the north that you dont have in the south. Rob Governor Phil Murphy adding the roadblock will be given by data, science and common sense. Jillian the usns comfort plans to set sail at the end of the week, heading to virginia after helping new york city with the coronavirus. While docked at the big apple the vessel treated 182 patients. It was originally set to treat those without covid19 but switched gears as hospitals grew overwhelmed. Rob this morning, south korea is downplaying rumors about kim jong uns health. The security adviser saying the north Korean Leader is alive and well. Jillian but he hasnt been seen since this event on april 11th, thats over two weeks ago. Fox news correspondent Christina Coleman has more on the growing mystery surrounding the leader. Reporter with each day, north Korean Leader kim jong un is out of the public eye, the mystery surrounding his health and wit with whereabouts deep. My guess is theres probably something wrong with his health which wouldnt be surprising. Hes morbidly obese, he smokes, he has had gout in the past. Reporter kim who is estimated to be in his mid to late 30s is a heavy smoker with respiratory and heart problems. An unconfirmed report says kim is in a bad state following surgery in april. Officials down playing rumors kim is seriously ill, saying hes staying outside pyongyang, a theory possibly supported by a train that could belong to kim. He may have evacuated himself to avoid being infected by covid. Reporter rumors surrounding his inability to run the country prompting speculation about who could replace him. Kim is believed to have children but its assumed theyre too young, leaving people to speculate his sister could take over. Theres a lot of discussion about whether or not the old guard would accept a female. But she is a blood relative and the kim family is an essential part of north korean mythology so she is the obvious choice, barring the gender issue. Reporter last week, President Trump wished kim well following his surgery. The president will make any announcement about a head of state. I well tell you all of us will get the credible information offline, not online. Reporter a u. S. Official has briefed the president and continues to monitor the situation closely. In los angeles, Christina Coleman, fox news. Jillian a fox news alert, a Louisiana Police officer is dead and another critically injured following a gun fight in louisiana. The baton rouge officers were searching for ronnie kaye toeton he shot them. He is a suspect in a homicide. This is a call no one wants to hear. Not only were the Police Officers public servants, theyre fathers, husbands, loved by their family. Jillian kato was taken into custody after the four hour standoff. The department has not identified the officer killed in the shooting but confirmed he was a 21 year veteran of the force. Rob thousands lined a street with tears in their eyes during a surprise parade for Gunnery Sergeant da diego pongo. As much loss as this has been to us with diegos death, weve also had an overwhelming amount of community support. Rob his father in tear as the marine handed him a folded american flag. The event replaced a proper burial due to covid19 restrictions. Family plans to hold a full ceremony at Arlington National cemetery. Jillian sunday talk show hosts remaining silent on explosive Sexual Assault allegations made against joe biden despite interviewing his possible running mates. Would it be a mistake if biden didnt pick a woman of color to be his running mate. He suggested this week that President Trump may try to someway o hold back the electio. Do you know why hes concerned. Jillian they were not asked about this recently resurfaced larry king clip featuring tara reades mom, hinting at issues that she had while working for the then senator. Top Democratic Leaders also silent on the accusations. Neither Speaker Pelosi or Senate Minority leader Chuck Schumer have responded to requests for comment. Rob the president strongly denying the secretary of health and Human Services alex azar is in danger of losing his job, tweeting the reports are fake news, the lame stream media he says knows this but they are desperate to create the perception of chaos in the minds of the public. They never called to ask. Alex is doing an excellent job. Reports surfaced he has considered removing azar for at least a week. He has not been at a Task Force Briefing his march 3rd. By having total population isolation, we are preventing Natural Immunity from developing. We want this population immunity. Jillian will reopening beaches and businesses boost that Natural Immunity . Were going to ask dr. Janette nesheiwat when she joins us live. Audible is my roadtrip companion. Its kind of my quiet, alone time. Audible is a routine for me. Its like a fun night school for adults. I could easily be seduced into locking myself into a place where i do nothing but listen to books. I never was interested in historical fiction before, but im obsessed with it now. There are a lot of like, classic and big titles that i feel like i missed out since i dont have time to read, mean i might as well listen. If i want to catch up on the news or history or learn whats going on in the world, i can download a book and listen to it. Because i listened to her story over and over again, i made the decision to go ahead and follow my own dream, which was to help other veterans. I think theres like 180 books in my, in my library now. Rob as we ease up on social distancing measures and economies begin to very carefully reopen, we are at risk of recurrence or respikes in the illness and the epidemic. So i think Everyone Needs to be aware that even as were beginning to open up again, there is a clear chance of a rise in cases in states that are doing that. Rob states across the country loosening restrictions on stay at home orders as some medical professionals argue that self quarantines are doing more harm than good. Jillian as the United States gets closer to 1 million cases of covid19, are we moving too quickly. Joining us now is fox news medical contributor, dr. Janette nesheiwat. Good to see you, doctor. Good to see you too. Jillian you can see the arguments on both sides. The images that stick out in my mind, we saw beaches in california that appear to be pretty packed. Do you think were moving too quickly in some areas . Are you concerned at all . Yes have to follow the guidelines of six to 10 feet social distancing so we dont spread the virus. But what it comes down to is looking at areas of outbreak, what is it like in your community . Not every state is going to have the same opening, if you will. Theyre going to be different. Some states will open up sooner than later many its a matter of looking at the data, see whats going on in your community and following the guidelines. California, theyre following the 14 day, looking for a 14 day trajectory of downward cases so they can open up more quickly than, for example, georgia, who opened up sooner than recommended by the cdc. But we have to take it day by day and look at the number of cases and follow the data. Rob heres a doctor with a very unique perspective on how to handle this pandemic. Lets listen. By having total population isolation, we are preventing Natural Immunity. We want this population immunity which breaks the chain of infection by virtue of people having their own antibodies, their own immunity. Rob so doctor, going the other way, hes saying lets get the herd immunity, lets get to 60, 70 of us having it and then the virus will naturally die, what do you say . I understand his point. But achieving herd immunity you need from 60 to 90 of the population to have immunity either via vaccination or being infected and thats the problem. We are nowhere near herd immunity. On top of that, we have over 50,000 deaths in this country in just one month. Are we going to let grandma, grandpa, people with underlying immune disease and not just older people, anyone with comorbidities rob i want to ask this question. What about hiding the people that are most at risk, keep them in quarantine. We know who will get this thing the worst. We keep them hidden away, let everyone else go out and do herd immunity, does that work . Absolutely, rob. Thats why we have to find a balance and open up the economy in phases. Once you meet the criteria of a 14 day trajectory in cases then we move to phase one. Phase one includes the vulnerable still will shelter at home but everyone else as long as they are low risk can go out and do their normal daily activities, but still not engage in groups of more than 10 people, still do six to 10 feet social distancing, wear a mask we have to find a balance and open up showily and smartly. Jillian if i can play devils advocate. Our Nursing Homes have been hit really hard by all of this. Thats where a lot of the vulnerable are. If youre protecting the have your nearable in the nursing vulnerable in the Nursing Homes, yet the people working a there n go out, cant just as easily get to the vulnerable population . Yes, absolutely, 100 correct, jillian. Thats why we need resources and funding to places where theres high areas of outbreaks, Nursing Homes, underserved populations. You need to make sure every employee that goes into a facility, their temperature is checked, maybe it would be a good idea to have routine testing, once a week, to monitor what is the plan and the protocol for that nursing facility to have to send someone out, one of their employees out for testing. They need to be closely monitored. We have to protect the vulnerable. Youre 100 correct about that. Rob lets talk about Contact Tracing for a second. This is the big new topic, everybody says were going to need this to get back to any kind of normal. It seems like a big job, trying to Contact Trace a country this big. What do you say. Yeah, it is, very tedious, very timeconsuming but it can be lifesaving. The purpose is to track down anybody who is infected with coronavirus, we want to track down who they came in contact with, 48 hours prior to that persons symptoms. Remember, you can be asymptomatic as well. Thats why they want to go 48 hours. What happens is a person gets a phone call, theyre inform theyre positive and then the investigator will ask them who have you been associating with in the past few days or so and then 10 people or so, usually about 10 people they are called and they are informed that they were exposed. And they are advised that they should self isolate for 14 days and they are also asked, do you have any symptoms and theyre told what to do if you do have any symptoms, where to go if you need testing and theyre asked do you have a place to self isolate, do you need anything, do you have all the resources and the Contact Tracer will check in on them during that 14 day quarantine to see how theyre doing. Its an excellent program. Its a critical tool in helping to prevent the spread of the virus until were able to get a vaccine and medication. Jillian dr. Nesheiwat, thank you for joining us. Thank you. Jillian it is 20 minutes after the hour. Members of congress coming up with a checklist on how to safely reopen businesses. Rob congressman dave joyce is part of the group. Starting today, more states will be easing coronavirus related restrictions with more to come by weeks end and as the country begins its recovery process, Congress Bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus is sharing their ideal approach with the white house. How this caucus thinks it should reopen. They say the key to reopening is more testing. Here to tell us more about the back to work plan is congressman dave joyce. Thanks for coming on today. We appreciate it. Tell us a little about what the problem solvers see as the best way to go forward. Thank you for having me on. One of the most important things we were talking about is the idea you have both a twoheaded monster here, the pandemic has created the physical problem, the illness, and its also created an economic crisis. We want to make sure we come back out in a safe manner and get to the things that states need to make a state by state choice on what theyre going to do and how theyre going to go about that. Testing obviously is key to that because we cant get enough testing to everybody to every state to be able to test as many people as necessary. Rob well, youre from the state of ohio. Ohios going to be slowly reopening this week. Theres a few states on the list. Do you think ohio is prepared for that . Youve got big cities like cleveland and cincinnati. Do you guys have what you need to start reopening now . Yes, governor dewine has done a great job of initially slowing down and stopping the economy here and because i didnt realize it until the time, we have the sixth largest senior population if the state of ohio. If you listen to his daily newscast over the last couple weeks, hes slowly been telling you the program for bringing the state out. As you mentioned, the big cities got hit worse than other areas of the state. So you have that problem where initially you have to scare people enough to make sure they follow through and stay home and to stop the spread and now you have to do kind of discuss the ways to come out solel slowd youve got to make sure you do it in a way that people are safe and secure, yet be able to get the economy back to work. Rob lets take a look at the testing breakdown. Theres 1. 5 to 2 million tests conducted every week in this country. We keep hearing the number needs to go up. Your caucus and your checklist to recovering and getting back to work, heres some of the bullet points, mass testing of course with rapid results, creating a federal Contact Tracing database, we talked about that, establishing operational protocols in viral hot spots, Real Time Data reporting on hospital capacity, ppe for first responders, healthcare workers, essential sectors and also for schools. What is the most important thing that these states need to see to get back to it . Well, obviously testing is important to make sure they have rapid tests so you can figure out if you have a hot spot how to contain and control it. And then we want to right here in the 14th district of ohio we have a company that came up with using 3d printing to create swabs to help get the testing done. But also the ppe is important and bringing back our supply lines from china. Thats an important thing that weve got to make sure never happens again. Because when we have to go to another country looking for the things that matter most to us at a time of crisis is something ive always drummed down the idea of america supplies but its something hopefully we learned out of this and create an american source to make sure ppe is abundant to everyone who needs it. Rob congressman, thank you so much for your time this morning. We really appreciate it. Well see how it goes for those states trying to reopen partially this week. Jillian is kim jong un really alive and well like south korea claims . As the world waits to find out the truth, focus shifts to his sister as a possible successor. Former cia station chief and Fox News Contributor dan hoffman explains why she is the frontrunner when he joins us live. This this a particula tactil mistake. Just calm down. We will have state and local and we will have it in a significant way. Theres no use going into what might have been. Jillian nancy pelosi snapping back at cnns jake tap earth when it was suggested she fumbled relief for states. Were live in washington. Rob welcome back. Today President Trump set to talk with u. S. Governors on the administrations covid19 response. Jillian calls grow louder for the president to end the feud. Reporter this feud started last week when Mitch Mcconnell said he is in favor of states using the bankruptcy route dealing with budget shortfalls, this came on the day that the Governors Association asked for an additional 500 billion to avoid drastic cuts. The governors are asking the white house for help and new york citys mayor, bill de blasio, has a message for mcconnell. He needs to speak up with energy to move the senate. He understands the economy. He understands new york city. If we cant pay for basic services, we wont have a strong economy. We need to hear the president s voice. Were not hearing it so far. Reporter this as Speaker Pelosi says state level governments will be the focus on the next relief package. She and mcconnell have been add odds over when to roll out phase four and said the governors are tired of waiting for washington to act. The governors are impatient. They have done their jobs wonderfully. Many governors, many mayors, bipartisan, for us to get the largest amount. Reporter those governors will get an audience with the president today in a closed door video tel teleconference where e president and treasury secretary mmnuchin indicated theyre open to more funding. This is a war, well win this war, if we need to spend more money, we will. Well only do it with bipartisan support. Reporter the ppp becomes available again this morning but it comes as the fda says they will impose limits on how much banks can lend due to high demand. Rob thank you so much, griff. We appreciate it. Jillian today, british Prime Minister Boris Johnson returns to work after recovering from covid19. He was released from the hospital two weeks ago after being in intensive care for several days. Johnson is facing mounting pressure to reopen the economy. The nation is under lockdown until at least may 7th. Rob two countries hit hard by coronavirus are seeing glimmers of hope. Italy set to ease restrictions next week after reporting its lowest number of virus related deaths since march 12th. The Prime Minister will allow factories to reopen and restaurants to offer takeout and delivery services. The country has the most deaths in europe with nearly 27,000. Spain also hit very hard, now letting kids under 14 play in the streets again but only for an hour a day. The country had 288 deaths yesterday, the least since marc. It still leaves europe in confirmed cases with more than 226,000. Jillian as grim reports and mystery swirl around kim jong uns health, all eyes are shifting to his sister, kim yo jong, as a potential successor. Rob what do we know about this woman . Joining us with his insight, Fox News Contributor daniel hoffman. Thanks for coming on. Kim yo jong is the name. What do you know about her . Well, shes had a fairly prominent role over the past few years in north korea. Viewers will remember that she was front and center at the olympics in 2018. She delivered a note to south koreas president moon which led to a summit between north korea and south korea and of course shes been there for the summits in hanoi and singapore. She is the deputy but really in charge of north koreas Propaganda Department and is responsible for the cult of personality of kim jong un. She appears to be a very trusted individual who also went to school with kim jong un in geneva, switzerland. So they have a pretty tight personal relationship as well. Jillian do you think anything would change if north korea were to be under her leadership . Well, i think the fundamental concerns about north korea will be unchanged. In other words, north korea has a massive program of weapons of mass destruction, nuclear weapons, chemical and biological weapons. Theyre a known proliferater and there is the concern if there were internal instability for loose nukes. What i would say is one of the great challenges, what is so important for the intelligence community, in particular the leadership analysts, to assess the relationship between kim jong un and his sister as well as assess her as a potential leader and one of the benefits of President Trumps summits is that weve had a lot of engagement with both of them and that has i think enabled us to gather a lot of assessment data which is particularly important right now. Rob well, the big problem is that we cant get a clear picture of exactly whats going on over there, its always a problem but heres the south korean policy adviser to the south korean president , saying that kim jong un is alive and well. He has been staying in the wonson area since april 13th. No suspicious movements have so far been detected. What do you make of that statement . I dont see any evidence to prove that claim. We havent seen kim jong un appear in public since april 11. He missed the birthday of his grandfather on april 15th. Nor has the north korean regime countered any of the lurid claims about kim jong uns health. So it would fall to reason that i think there is some concern about where the north korean government is headed and the health of kim jong un and i didnt see any evidence from south korea to prove the adviser to the president s point there. Jillian lets talk about china here for a second because, you know, the numbers out of china, whether you believe them or not, they are pretty low compared to other parts of the country. And heres a quote that we want to read you right now, saying there is zero covid19 patients in wuhan, this reads, the latest news is that by april 26th the number of new coronavirus patients in wuhan was at zero thanks to the joint efforts of wuhan and medical staff from around the country. Lets take a listen to senator tom cotton here, this is yesterday. So many of our basic drugs are made in china. We need to stop that. We need to bring it back to the United States. We need to invest more in our Defense Industrial base to offset some of the losses were going to see because of this virus, that will deter china from aggressive action against the United States and our interest. Jillian i mean, dan, how do you imagine holding them accountable . So first of all, chinas state run media is not ever meant to inform, its meant to repress its own people and whitewash their reputation overseas. I wouldnt trust anything were hearing out of china. Theyve been guilty of extraordinary lack of transparency from the start. As far as Holding China accountable, i think theres two ways, one is their reputation, our media and our state department can shine a bright spotlight on all of chinas malfeasance, concealing the coronavirus from the very beginning and the cause of this pandemic and the great harm to our economy and then as senator cotton says, we need to decouple our supply chain, particularly on High Technology and medical equipment so we dont run into the same sort of situation down the road. We can be a source of those important items to others, our allies in europe and asia and beyond. I think thats potentially of great value to us economically. Rob they could be double what we are, well never know. Youll never have a clear picture of that. Dan, thank you so much for your time. We do breesh yates it. Appreciate it. Pleasure. It wouldnt surprise me if he chose to withdraw and chose tto back down. These white men are not protecting women. They are protecting a man who is probably guilty. Rob the Mainstream Media went nuts rushing to judge Brett Kavanaugh but its nothing but silence for the most part now that joe biden stands credibly accused. Jillian our next guest says democrats are so hungry for power, theyre happy to ignore the evidence. Carrie sevarino of the Judicial Crisis Network joins us live. Despite backlash from his community. The issue that we have in the city of jackson is that of illegal weapons and so we are not seeking to take away the guns of someone who has a permit to have their gun, someone who is a lawabiding individual. Rob the executive order comes after a series of deadly shootings in the city despite stay at home orders. In one incident there were five shootings within hours of each other, killing an 11yearold. Overnight, a man charged in the driveby shooting at the estate of duck dine city star willie robertson, daniel king junior is facing aggravated assault, one bullet actually pierced through a window where robertsons son lives with his wife and infant child in louisiana. No word if police are looking for any other suspects. Jillian. Jillian joe biden facing calls to drop out of the 2020 race amid Sexual Assault allegations but his fellow establishment democrats appear to be staying silent on the issue. Take a listen to what the Mainstream Media didnt ask the former vps potential running mates. Biden is already saying to a lot of criticism from conservatives that President Trump might try to influence the 2020 election. Would it be a mistake if joe biden didnt pick a woman of color to be his running mate . You mentioned Vice President biden, he suggests this week that President Trump might try to some way hold back the election. Do you know why hes concerned . Jillian bidens accusers blasting the media silence, calling it a double standard in an exclusive interview with fox news. Joining me with more the chief council and policy director of the Judicial Crisis Network, carrie severino. Good to see you this morning. Great to be here. Jillian this is what tara rei reade has to say. Its shocking that he is a nominee for president and theyre not asking the questions. If this were donald trump would they treat it the same way. If this were Brett Kavanaugh, did they treat it the same way. What do you say to that, carrie . This is a really curious case of sudden onset respect for due process from the democrats. I dont think any of us know where the facts will lead on this. I do believe in due process. I dont think we can come to conclusions yet. The problem is no one has looked into it, and during the kavanaugh hearings they were jumping to conclusions with flimsier evidence. At this point we can say Lindsey Graham was right, he said its all about power and theyre willing to do whatever it takes to stay in shower. Were seeing that now. All of these democrats are refusing to talk about this. They dont want to know the evidence, they dont want to know whether or not joe biden abused someone. Theyll do whatever it takes to win back the white house. I think we should remember that the next time we have a Supreme Court nominee, theyre telling lies the way they did about thomas and kavanaugh. This is a double standard. Jillian you mentioned them jumping to conclusions. A lot of people jumped to conclusions during the kavanaugh hearings. Why dont we look at a flashback. Will the kavanaugh nomination crash and burn. It wouldnt surprise me if he chose to withdraw and chose to back down. When you have someone going to prison and in the same breath having kavanaugh possibly going to the highest court in the land. These white men, old by the way, are not protecting women. Theyre protecting a man who is probably guilty. Jillian then you had joe biden responding to the Brett Kavanaugh allegations from 2018, saying, quote, for a woman to come forward in the glaring lights of focus nationally you have to start off with the presumption that at least the essence of what shes talking about is real, whether or not she forgets facts, whether or not its been made worse or better over time. You cant deny the clips you saw and the quote we just read. No. And those same people now we are having absolute radio silence. Not, hey, we maybe should look into this. Look, theres no evidence already here that he at at least we know this is someone he knew and interacted with. We knew h she worked for him. We knew there were concerns. Even going back to 1993 when she said it. It deserves looking into i would say at least whereas during the kavanaugh confirmation process we dont have evidence that Brett Kavanaugh even met christine blase ford. They jumped to the conclusion hes guilty as charged. In some cases as you heard, because hes a white man. Youve got another old white man here and this time theyre rushing to completely ignore the potential of even something being there. I think we need to treat these equally and that means giving them both the opportunity for due process, also making sure that allegations are heard fairly and not jumping to conclusions on either side. Jillian you had Alyssa Milano during the Brett Kavanaugh hearings who was so outspoken about it. She came out and saying she didnt feel comfortable throwing away a decent man, joe biden, without there being a thorough investigation. That same thing wasnt said then. Heres what the Biden Campaign said. What is clear about the claim, it is untrue, this absolutely did not happen. We reached out to cnn and the biden camp for an updated statement. We have not heard back. Carrie severino, thank you for joining us. Thanks. Jillian well keep an eye on this. Well be right back. Rob House Speaker nancy pelosi called out all over social media for this hypocrite call take on the president s covid19 travel ban. Tens of thousands of people were still allowed in from china. It wasnt as it is described as this great moment. If youre going to shut the door because you have an evaluation of an epidemic, then shut the door. Jillian the speaker walking back on a stance she took in january. Carley shimkus with how this is backfiring and what social media is saying. Good morning, carley. Good morning, jillian and rob. Despite the travel restrictions on china, americans and authorized travelers were allowed to enter the United States. The House Speaker is saying the travel restrictions didnt go far enough, saying if youre going to shut the door, then shut the door. But in a january 31st press release, the House Speaker wanted to leave that very door open, saying, quote, the trump administrations expansion of its outray just unamerican travel ban threatens our security, our values and the rule of law, House Democrats will continue to oppose the administrations dangerous antiimmigrant agenda. We will never allow hatred or bigotry to define our nation or destroy our values. Some in social media are reacting. Travis says now the president was supposed to bar american citizens from returning back to the u. S. . What a take. And jerry also chiming in saying so pelosi didnt want to let american citizens back in the country but shes okay with people just walking over our borders. Got it. So the House Speaker certainly not the first politician to sort of change her tune, definitely wont be the last. The New York Times estimates that some 40,000 americans and offed right traveler and authorized travelers entered the United States from china after the travel restrictions. Jillian there were images out of california this weekend that angered a lot of people. There were packed beaches on saturday. Some of the pictures you see posted online, its packed from end to end. Yeah, thats right. The images you are seeing on your screen would look normal at any other time but it is angering a lot of people. These images taken on beaches in orange county, after they recently reopened their beaches with modified restrictions. So laura on twitter says so much for flattening the curve, thanks, california. Steve chiming in saying it kind of looks like my costco. Minus the sun. People are itching to get outside and feel that sun. Rob you got to get a convertible top on your costco, i guess.
