Every step of the woke precautions were in place to limit exposure to the virus. Once here to the nih she was taken to a biounit where she had a full work up done. She is weak and fatigued but in good spirits. Shes not deteriorating and i am not telling you why we said fair because of patient confidentiality but she is stable and resting comfortably. And the goal is full recovery and make sure she is free of the virus, but he emphasized there is no treatment for the virus, they can only attend to her symptoms. And so what are we learning about her treatment today . Reporter we learned this morning there is two points of focus, one understand the virus better, and the protocol for treatment and told that there are two there is no evidence that ebola is airborne, everyone is wearing protective gear from head to toe. We are not doing it because we think it is respiratory. We are doing complete covering so that there is no part of the doctor or nurses body that was exposed when they so the patient. The other element of the treatment here, they are limiting the amount of time medical professionals attend to nina pham because fatowing is an issue when mistakes are made and there can be breaches.
