Into your home tonight. That is it for special report fair balanced and unafraid. Greta goes on the record right now. Special report online begins with steve hayes at the helm in a matter of seconds. Im greta van susteren. This is on the record. Murders, rapists, sex criminals, dangerous Illegal Immigrants let loose. Why are dozens of convicted criminals back on the street . Then,. We cannot say silent. A sult tant imposing brutal sharia law. He owns this hotel. Does it seem that far off from what happened in the holocaust . Will that stop the as you will tant. Break up a classroom
fight. Its a must see on the record. Up first, murders, drunk drivers, and sex offender, they are all among the Illegal Immigrants released back on to the streets by the u. S. Immigration officials in 2013. So, what about the Obama Administrations claim that it is cracking down on the most serious criminals in Immigration Enforcement . Washington examiner chief Political Correspondent byron york joins us. Byron, so, whats the story . Why are these people getting out . This is a huge bait and switch why by the Obama Administration. I dont think there is any other way to describe it. If you listen to the president. The president says our immigration system is broken. There is no way to go after people in this country whose only misdeed is coming into the country illegally if they are following the laws, they shouldnt be harassed by the legal system. And, instead, the president says what we should really do is go after the hardened criminals, the immigrants who are here illegally, who have broken our laws. We need to be very tough on
them. What we have now found is that the administration has let go thousands of immigrants who committed serious crimes. More than 100 plus murderers. 2700 assaults. 1300 domestic violence. 15,000 drunk drivers. 9,000 driving under the influence of drugs one, lead go where . Brought back to their original countries or let go to our streets . And the second question is, why were they released . One, into this country, so, otherwise, that would be departed, which i think a lot of people would probably support. And there are some cases people said no choice. Home countries said they would not accept them. The United States felt they
had no option other than to lead them go because the law requires, forbids them being held indefinitely. Are these people arrested, tried, and convicted or are these people arrested on these charges, held by immigration, and then we just release them to the street . According to this report we are talking about convictions. And have they served out their time in prison . Unclear. I mean one thing the legal system would do, perhaps, is deport people who have been convicted of crimes. But if thats not possible, and if theyre being held at facilities where other Illegal Immigrants are being held that are overcrowded, the government said that it simply does not have the facilities to hold as many immigrants convicted of crimes as there are. Byron, thank you. And bob beckel joins us. Nice to see you, bob. Bob, this is awful. Well, it sounds awful. Listening to byron talk about it the fact is the administration is not just releasing a bunch of murderers on the street. Where are they going . There are people its overcrowded first of all. Release those got caught like stealing the ham from the safeway. When you ask the question are they tried and convicted they would. My clients criminal defense work. If they didnt get a trial. They didnt get released. They waited until there was a judge and jury to try them. They didnt just release them. They were arrested like these were apparently arrested. They werent just let go for whatever reason. 75 of these people were let go because of judges decisions that allowed these democrats to go out into the street. Most of them were monitored. Some of them had ankle bracelets. Bob, i did this for years. Thats ridiculous. I would do anything to get an ankle bracelet on a client of mine. Thats one of the silliest things at the time. Compared to being in jail. Homicide. Im not talking minor crimes. This is homicide. Do you really believe do you really believe the administration allows killers who walk out just why . What would be their reason . I dont know. But apparently this data is from a con congressional requested investigation information comes from immigration themselves. Thats where the information. Somebody has to make the decision i cant imagine someone say we have 333 murders, put them on the street. First of all is there room for them. People in the ice facilities, are they more hardened criminals, one . Two, is there some way to it legally keep them in these places . I dont know. Then at least send them back to their own country. If they are arrested for homicide and they are not tried or there are 116 here, sexual assault, 426, domestic violence, 317, when did i those cases those are
the most incredible repeat offenders. Dont put them on our streets if you cant try them and give them a fair trial and hold them, get them out of zero Obama Administration has sent back home the maximum number under law of the authorization for the money to send them back, 600,000 a year. Much more than the Bush Administration did. So, the idea that they all should be sent back i would rather keep someone who overstayed their visas than those charged with burglary. I come back to the point i cannot imagine that somebody consciously would allow murderers to walk out on the street. I cant either. My first thought is this is insane, must be a mistake. Where do these numbers come from . These numbers arent coming from some right Wing Organization that has some particular agenda. This apparently is coming from the government itself. Well, from the house,
the. They asked for it. The Republican House asked for it and they also, the ice and Immigration Service asked for 2 billion more dollars to house people and didnt get it it and so everybody who complains about this are not willing to pay for it. So, what if you got overcrowding conditions and you have got worse people in jail than these guys, but i still i mean, i find it inconceivable that somebody would make a conscious decision that let criminals walk around the street. Unless there is something wrong with these numbers. We can dig a little deeper. I certainly understand your point. Bob beckel, star of the a at 5 00. What a coincidence, five people. How did they come up with that. I have no idea. At 5 00. Thank you very much, greta. Growing boycott of several Famous Hotels right here in the u. S. The hotels including the Beverly Hills hotel are held by the sultan of brunei. Many hollywood celebrities are protesting code based on islamic law. They impose harsh criminals for homosexuality and adultery including death by stoning. Evil flourishes when good people do nothing. Thats pretty much what this is. Berlin, 1933. Hello . I mean, does it seem that far off from what happened during the holocaust . Its all human rights it seems like we happen to little live in this little bagsian where this on around us and hopefully it will never happen here. Is there a danger of sharia law creeping into the u. S. Former new york city mayor Rudy Giuliani joins us. I get off on the topic of sharia law but i will let you take it away. Is there a risk it will come here . I dont think so, no. There isnt a movement to bring sharia law to the United States. American law protects us pretty much covered the feel. I think one of the controversies, sort of a misunderstanding of how the american law operates with
the one in florida in which they voted not to apply sharia law. That was a dispute whether you ever apply foreign law. And do you apply foreign law as long as its not against the Public Policy of the United States and fits the interpretation of a contract. So, courts are using foreign law all the time, when it fits into interpreting some kind of an overall american law. It is so wicked though. Sharia Law Enforcement im not aware its coming to the United States. I feel almost silly asking a question. Im not worried about that. When you look at how wicked it is around the world. So much sort of Political Correctness that nobody sort of wants to touch it because its a terrible thing to sort of like you dont want to offend. Right, sharia law has parts to it that are against any notions of civility, civilization, decency any longer. Stoning people for adultery. Stoning women if they get raped. I mean, the victim gets stoned in some of these interpretations of sharia
law. Christian girls kidnapped by a group that wants to employ sharia law on the greater part of nigeria. Thats the real risk is sharia law now being applied. We see parts in nigeria, the sultan of brunei creating this great controversy over the Beverly Hills hotel. The sultan of brunei. Brunei wants to apply sharia law i think it is to adultery and homosexuality, death by stoning. Its incredible. Lead me ask you about the 9 11 Museum Finally opening . Its wonderful that its finally opening. I am not at all surprised that it took this long. It takes a long time to get one of these things right because people are are so emotional fey have their own idea what is it should be. I spent two hours to get ready for the ceremony tomorrow. They took me through every exhibit. I have been there before but now its finished. Quite moving. I would say i walked out
very affected by it and, of course it reminded me of many things that i live through and had t. Has some of my memorabilia there and got me to focus on some of the memories i have going back to that day. If you hadnt been convicted to it everyone connected to it one way or another. I think you will find it a very powerful experience. I heard the kaboom. I looked up and saw the smoke. I heard the plane coming down from the pentagon. I looked up in the air where you look for a plane tonal it had already dropped down and hit the pentagon. They have whole section devoted to the attack on the pentagon and what happened in pennsylvania. Of coursenr they had the earliest shot of the plane before it went into the north tower. A shot that was taken from brooklyn just by accident of the plane maybe 100 feet, away going into the building. Quite powerful. We heard a lot from you then and the nation appreciated that nice to see you, sir. Thank you very much,
greta. Now to big news about joran van der sloot. The convicted murderer is about to get hitched. Prison bars dont seem to be getting in his way of van der sloot to marry his pregnant girlfriend. Is he very ill and being moved across state lines or wherever he is, this is not good for his health. I really feel that not only does my father need help for his condition she needs help. We dont understand whats going on. We have told her time and time again, if its about the money, take the money, take the house. We wont contest the will. We wont contest anything. Take it all, have it all. Give us our dad back. We shont do it. We dont understand what she wants. What legal option does caseys children have. Joining us defense lawyers ted williams and regina. First to you, what recourse does the family have . Well, the family is doing what they can by going to court and being appointed a temporary conservativeship, because, clearly, this wife does not care about this mans health and she is moving him around at 82 years old. He cant communicate. The only thing the family can do is go to court and do exactly what they are doing and get him away from this woman who doesnt seem a she seems to want to hurt these children. These other children and she is not really taking care of him by not letting him see his children . Its very strange. Ted. Its very strange. Ted, its very strange, isnt it . It is very strange. Its a tragedy. This is a man, an american
icon. And what is good though is that the daughter, carey, has now been appointed the temporary conservator, meaning that she can look after his estate. The first thing they have got to do greta is, to try to find him. As you know, his wife, jeanne was, in fact, the conservator. Now that this has been superseded, maybe they there will be some closure of this family hatred towards each other. Both of you make these assumption conservator the daughter. You have to find him. How do you find an 82yearold manual apparently has park sans disease. How do you find him. It will be like a needle in the hay stack. Hopefully Law Enforcement can find him. My understanding that jean, the wife has been in touch with family members. They will start backtracking from that community there
are some allegations that he may have been taken either out of of the country or may very well be on an indian reservation. Quite naturally, Law Enforcement will start backtracking and trying to make a determination of where he is at. Hopefully they will find him and that he will be as best he can, because is he a very ill man from all that we know. Regina, this is a little bit beyond my legal education, maybe its yours. Native American Reservations typically enclaves, i dont know to what extent federal agents can go in there maybe you know. They have their own police department. Like here we have the Seminole Police department. They have though interaction with local Law Enforcement thats here. A lot of them do work close whether i them in that area hopefully they work together. Federal agents cant go on there. Its not their land. Its up to the tribe. Where is he some tribes may
do that some tribes work with Law Enforcement. We dont know. If is he on that reafertion you may not be able to find him. He may be at a hotel down the block from the extended care facility. Reservation, how are you going to approach the indians and say let me put an 282yearold here . Thats a little weird, too. I have got to go. Regina and ted, thank you both. My pleasure. Big news about the teach his or her broke up a fight with a broom and had to fight for her job. The teacher is here to tell you her news. It may surprise you. A terrifying attack caught on camera.
