Thats usually the case outside of a grocery store, hey, will you please register to vote and you can put down your uncle sam. And that sort of happens quite a bit. But thats Voter Registration fraud and its different from voter fraud itself. The idea of somebody going in and being an impostor and doubling in as a dead person or Something Like that is very, very rare. But both parties aggressively try to register new voters in the runup to a new election just as they do in the primaries of both parties, but there has been a disparity between the clinton claim and the Trump Campaign when it comes to Voter Registrations. For instance, florida, a state where if donald trump were not to win there, it would be hard to see a path for him to the electoral votes to win. The democrats have registered new voters in excess of half a Million People where the Trump Campaign is down around 60,000. Thats not necessarily an indication that theres something hokey going on with the democratic registrants. There is also the problem of ground game. The Trump Campaign has had a hard time getting organized and doing a lot of this sort of electoral mechanics. They have to be focused on Voter Registration attempted the fraud versus voter fraud. By that what hes done in effect is saying, hey, look, there doesnt look like theres voter fraud right now, but there could be. In that way he sort of realigned himt with the man at top of the ticket and it really does motivate people and what trump and pence are urging people to do particularly in philadelphia is go and be a poll observer. We have 51. And each the head of each election is the governor, and in those states the governors are republicans. Exactly. I think its important that people really have a good understanding of how our elections occur. These are run by the states. These are statewide elections. They have republicans who are governors who means that the secretaries of state in those locations are also generally republicans and if you voted in an leaked in america you know that these are generally elections that happen in public places, yes, theres absentee ballots, early voting, some vote by mail, but generally you walk into Elementary School gymnasium or a church hall and you cast your ballot in a public place. So as carl was mentioning earlier, theres always talk about Voter Registration fraud but there are very few examples of actually fraud that happens on election day and even in those instances when it happens in such small numbers that it doesnt sway the actual outcome of an election. Possibly because if you do it, youre going to prison if you get caught. Its a very serious felony in most places. And julie, so many of us have wondered, amongst ourself, reporters and others, what we thought would happen if at some point this guy bases everything on winning realizes at some point hes not going to win. Is that what were learning now, the lastminute strategy that, i didnt lose, it was rigged . Is that what this is or what . I think there are two things happening here. On the one hand you have trump looking at what has been an incredibly tough battleground state for him. The way he can win now is if he drives down turnout. Young people and minorities who are so disgusted with this or think that the leaked is going to be rigged that they dont even show up. That could benefit him. Donald trump has built his brand on the idea that hes a winner. If he loses this election, hell be losing on the biggest stage essentially in the world. And how does he message around that . He has not proven to be someone who is very selfreflective who would be critical of things that hes done in this campaign. Hes going to look elsewhere.
