Senator sessions has also faced quite a bit of controversy. Former president Ronald Reagan nominate him to be a federal judge in the 1980s when he was a u. S. Attorney in alabama. The senate rejected nowsenator sessions after people who worked with him accused him of being a blatant racist. One africanamerican assistant u. S. Attorney testified that sessions called him boy and said sessions thought that kkk members were ookay until he learned they smoked marijuana. A trump adviser said the Transition Team does not anticipate that being a problem this time around. Retired Lieutenant General Michael Flynn does not need Senate Confirmation to be a National Security adviser. The general was another of trumps most loyal supporters during the campaign. General flynn spent more than three decades in the military. Hes a registered democrat and serves as director of Defense Intelligence agency under president obama. The retired general stepped down from that position in 2014 or was forced out. He says Obama Administration officials forced him out because he disagreed with their approach to fighting terrorism. Critics claimed he mismanaged that agency. They also accuse him of insummiting muslims repeated insulting muslims repeatedly. He tweeted, fear of muslims is rational. Please forward this to others. The truth fears no questions. The tweet included a link to a Youtube Video about radical islam. Congressman mike pompeo will face a Senate Confirmation process to become cia director. The kansas republican joined the house in 2011. Analysts call him one of the most conservative members of the freshman class. And frankly, chris, people on both sides of the aisle are expressing not everyone, but a lot of people on both sides of the aisle are expressing deep concern. Well, look, he very much mirrors donald trump. And he was the first Major General National Security official support trump and trump and he were very much in tune on foreign policy. On two main issues first of all, a very hard line against islam, and a somewhat softer line when i say islam, i should say radical islamic terrorism.
