Appearing now more complex than originally thought because the daily caller has published an email that shows two years ago a hunter biden Business Partner emailed him to tell them that a chinese based private equity firm called dhr partners was going to generate income for him for years to come. That might conflict with the statement that came last year from Hunter Bidens lawyer about just this. In 2019 the lawyer wrote, today hunter has not received any compensation for being on dhrs board of directors. Hes not received any return on his investment. Thereve been no distributions to be charged to shareholders. Those new emails also bring up memories of the debate stage denial. My son has not made money, in terms of this thing about, what are you talking about . China. Biden said that and told me yesterday hes confident his son did not do anything wrong despite long insisting the two of them never discussed overseas business deals. There is reason to believe hunter discussed his dad a lot in his overseas dealings, telling of the Business Partner greetings from a whole biden family. Saying he needed keys to the office for joe biden, jill biden, and joe bidens brother, caught up in a different case with a rural Hospital Company hes connected to. There is reason to believe that tony blinken, the president elects choice to be the secretary of state, had some knowledge of what hunter biden was up to overseas because in 2015, a freedom of information act request published by the New York Post revealed hunter biden email tony blinken, then the deputy secretary of state, to ask for a cup of coffee so he could get his advice about things and tony blinken replied absolutely he wanted to do it. While weve been here, the president has been bringing selections like tony blinken to a theater nearby to formally announce everybody. There is not been much of a specific focus on china, at least not yet, as these topics have been announced. Today we dont expect to see or hear from the president elect within a kind of in any substantial way. No events. Hes at home eating with advisors. Dana. Dana all right, peter doocy. Thanks for the update. Former u. S. Ambassador to the United Nations, nikki haley, telling joe biden there are three things you should absently keep from President Trumps Foreign Policy. She laid them out in an opinion piece for the Washington Post saying he should keep key aspects of trumps china policy, keep applying pressure on latin american dictatorships, and encourage the remarkable progress of peace between arab nations and israel. Lets bring in former governor of South Carolina and former u. S. Ambassador to the United Nations, nikki haley. Those are just three of the things that you thought that a president elect biden should continue. Tell me a little bit more about why you think so. I think first of all, its great to be with you. Its really important that we understand that theres been a lot of Foreign Policy advancements that have happened over the last four years. When you look at whether its how weve handled china, whether, how we handle the murderous dictators in venezuela and cuba, or when you sit there look at how were going to handle peace in the middle east going forward, what my hope is that theyre not very quick to discredit and erase the last four years but realize that true good has come from that. I think if you take china for example, china is absolutely a Foreign Policy threat. President trump recognize that. He recognized that by putting sanctions on them and their human rights abuses. He recognized that by calling other intellectual property dealings. He recognized he had to hold them accountable whether it was a virus or whether it was on anything else they were doing and he built up our military and our space force to combat china and we have to acknowledge them for exactly the abuser that they are and what they want to do to america. Its all the more reason why the hunter biden stuff has become a little bit concerning is because youre looking at a direct conflict of interest. The American People heard joe biden say that he didnt think china was competition for us and that much of a threat several months ago. Now we see he and his family have had business dealings with china. We really need to make sure that china doesnt feel like theyre going to get a pass here with biden. And that they understand that were going to be as strong and has tough as weve been this past four years. Dana take me back to your experience as United Nations ambassador and what you know about the proliferation of what the chinese have been trying to do in terms of spying across america. We know now about the attempts in order to influence Eric Swalwell when he was a city councilman and moving on up, then that was revealed in 2015 when he was a member of congress and put on the intel committee. But also the attempts, i guess, any concerns you might have about influence that they think they might have with an incoming administration. Well, china has been doing this for years. I can tell you my first year at the United Nations, one of the directives i gave to my immediate direct staff is that they were not to associate with anyone but themselves. We knew how it was a spy capital of the world but we knew exactly what china was doing. They had a satellite went directly into my office that we had to shield from them hearing thing, seeing everything we were doing. The idea that china has been spying, its no secret to anyone whos been in government or has dealt with the Intelligence Community to know theyve been doing this and they been doing it aggressively. What i saw on the first years china was very timid in their communication. They would only have conversations behind closed doors. They wanted to keep things simple. Once president xi removed term limits for himself and basically made himself king, they have become much more aggressive. They became aggressive in knowing what everyone in the world was doing. They became aggressive in their strategy of how they were going to get information and continue to this deal, whether it was through spying, through universities, stealing property. They became much more conscious of trying to infiltrate within the United States organization to head up specific agencies. So what the biden team needs to understand is they already feel like they have an in with hunter biden. Joe biden almost has to go so far the other way to show china that hes not going to allow anything to get in the way. He has to expand on what President Trump has already done and hes really got to show to the entire world what his stance is going to be on china. Its not something he can be solved about and its not something he can show any signs of weakness with. Dana so youre not only a Foreign Policy expert after all the work you did at the United Nations, you care deeply about domestic policy as well as this week and you will be campaigning in georgia with kelly loeffler. She had some strong words yesterday for the consequences of what might happen if she were to lose this race. Listen. If we dont vote, we could see the election of americas first marxist senator in this country right here in georgia. Thats why we are the firewall. Dana how do you see the stakes of these two Senate Runoffs . Well, we are going to georgia on sunday. We are going to be campaigning across the state and we are looking forward to a great time with the people of georgia. Kelly is absolutely right. Theres a lot at stake in georgia and theres a lot at stake in the country and you know just talking about the Foreign Policy that we talked about, we have to have a senate thats going to hold biden and his allies accountable on how they deal with china. We have to have a Strong Senate so that if he looks to jump back in the iran deal, there are some guardrails there that say you cant just go back to the way it was. We have to have a Strong Senate thats going to make sure not only are we strong on Foreign Policy but is also going to make sure that we dont turn over the Budget Committee to Bernie Sanders or allow aoc to get away with what she says if they win the senate they will have full power to negotiate. A lot at stake. We look forward to being in georgia. Its going to be a good time, and we have to win these races. Dana let me ask you one last question, and South Carolina when you were governor and that horrible Church Shooting happened in charleston and you took a leadership position about removing the Confederate Flag from the capital, and so your experience in trying to bring people together. The nation feels quite polarized. Many people are disappointed and angry about this election. Going forward, any thoughts about how we can all pull together and how important it is that we do . Its really important that we pull together the country because of we dont, the rest of the world sees us as distracted and all of a sudden theres a bigger target on americas back. The way to do that is first of all acknowledge the accomplishments of President Trump. I mean, i think our Foreign Policy is stronger than it was four years ago. We made a lot of strides in domestic policy. You look at the fact that we have a backseat in record time that is safe and ready for people to use. And you look at all of the progress that weve made and what we want to know, we want to remember from the Republican Party standpoint as we dont want to go back to the days before President Trump. We want to build on those winds and build on those strengths. In terms of the Democratic Party thats becoming more and more progressive than going further to the left, they are going to have to reconcile that with themselves. How they go and sell defunding the police, sell big friends with socialist venezuela and communist cuba and thinking that china is not a big deal. They are going to get further to the left. But as parties, we are going to always debate. As American People what we have to remember is we all agree on 90 of things. We agree on where we want to go. We want our children to have more opportunities, that we want to savor countries. We want to be a country that realizes we are a work in progress and we are more to do. We have different ways of getting there. I hope as we go into 2021, we remember all of us are mothers and daughters and sisters and people who are patriots that really do want to see a stronger and better america. We can get there but we have to be willing to listen. We have to be willing to commit to action that will further strengthen america, and we have to understand that were Better Together than we will ever be divided. Dana happy holidays, Merry Christmas to you, nikki haley. Thank you for being on the show today. Merry christmas, dana. Dana thank you. Up next, so much for unity, as we were just talking about. One of joe bidens top officials ripping into republicans and using some very salty language. Karl rove is here to react h 3,000 a year, what would you do with the money . Your medication has changed, we want to help. There is no limit to americas future. The only thing that can tear america apart is america itself. So lets choose hope over fear. Unity over division. Science over affection. And yes, truth overlies. Speaker president elect joe biden calling for unity but a member of his staff undermining that message in a big way. Bidens incoming deputy chief of staff Jen Omalley Dillon telling Glamour Magazine the president elect was able to connect with people over the sense of unity. In the primaries people would mock him, like you think you can work with republicans . Im not saying they not a bunch of expletives. Mitch mcconnell is terrible. But the sense that you couldnt wish for that, you could wish for this bipartisan ideal, he rejected that. Lets bring in karl rove because karl, you went from a campaign into the white house. Its a little bit of a different feel. Salty language, i get it. If it undermines the bosses message, that can hurt you. First of all, will she was hearinsharing her own personal emotions which you dont do. You are supposed to represent the president. If the president elect has said i want to work with republicans, you say people pushed against that but he stuck to it. The stuff about the republicans are a bunch of expletives deleted and Mitch Mcconnell is terrible as her own personal view and it did nothing to advance her message. I gave us a chance to say thank god that woman is not going to be in charge of Congressional Liaison for the biden white house. People are people. You cant go around saying publicly the republicans are bunch of expletives deleted and then expect to be welcomed with open arms. Defenses are immediately going to go up. Dana it wasnt just republicans that noted this. There were some donors to the Biden Campaign of thought was the wrong message. The communications director, she had this to say in response. Jen Omalley Dillon first to tell you her mom doesnt approve of the spicy language but i would be the first to tell you the point she was making in this conversation is spot on. Unity and healing are possible and we can get things done. I wanted to ask about the column that you wrote. You said that biden needs a conciliatory tone and yet there is a poll from the left to be angry and to push back into punch. How is that going . My column was about his remarks following the meeting with the Electoral College on monday. The electors gathered in their state capitals and cast their electoral votes for the winner in their state. Joe biden received 306 electoral votes, making him the next president. He will be sworn in on january 20 as a result of those meetings. He went out and naturally we wanted to hear from him. Of his 40 of what he said was an attack on his predecessor. He called the president s efforts to remain in office unprecedented and excoriated him and attacked him. That he was not respecting the rule of law and blah, blah, blah. Im thinking, your messages youre going to be the president and you want to unify the country and you spend 40 of your time attacking your predecessor and by implication the 74 Million People who voted for him. There is something about joe biden. There is a pugnacious nest, ugly, unappealing pugnacious nice that comes out at inappropriate moments. Monday night was not the night for that. That was the night for him to bring the country together. Imagine what would happen if the guy that you and i were honored to work for had walked out in december of 2000 and set im now going to be the president of the United States. Let me spend 40 of my remarks in the Texas State Capitol excoriating al gores attempt to overturn the result in florida by unconstitutional means that were twice deemed that by the majority in the supreme court. The press would have gone nuts. Democrats would have gone nuts. Instead he talked about unity and thats what joe biden shouldve done on monday night rather than devoting so much of his time to throwing after his predecessor. Dana when you bring up the guy we used to work with, i was thinking if i had given that interview and said the same thing about democrats to Glamour Magazine, i think i would have been fired. Rightfully so. I dont think he wouldve been fired but someone wouldve said yes. Can i say two quick things. Dana weve got to run, karl. All right. Dana go ahead, go ahead. Benfield was rebuking her colleague. One good thing about biden, the woman whos in charge of legislative affairs has a reputation for working across party lines and for having not the sharp tongue and the sharp elbows that apparently Omalley Dillon expressed in the lamb or column. Dana i read a great article about her. Karl rove, thank you. Merry chris
