And if you look closely on the righthand side of that. It says you are now leaving the United States of america, so among those leading the charge are antifa and black lives matter supports, you can see seattle people departments in the east precinct. There are reports that there are also pushing out, media that might be unfriendly to them. It is a breakdown of civilization, of law and order in seattle, and a return to an almost quasifeudal system. There is even reports that one person is sort of the lord of that area. He refused that title. Some say that a person who is leading this group is a rapper raz simone who was seen Walking Around with an ak47, and talking to everyone through a megaphone. We have an exclusive new interview to show you that was shot by the millennials with him about what is going on there. If you want to reclaim this and have it be something more positive than what it has been, i mean, there is a lot of that. But this is the time when it comes out with different views that might be a different agenda, or whatever. And we can figure it out as a community. Martha the key is also a leader of the group, they will stay in command until they are in the area until their demands are met, and some of that seems to be happening, here are some of the demands that the group has put forth. The total abolition of the Seattle Police department. A retrial for all racial minority serving time for violent crimes, and then replace the police with an autonomous restorative transformative accountability program. Not a lot of detail as to what that would look like, but so far they have three of the Nine Council Members who have signaled support in some way at least for 50 reduction in the Police Budget to go towards their goals. Councilwoman opened seattles town hall that has been closed down by the mayor to the protesters who have now occupied the billing, pictures on tuesday taking over that area. When asked about all that is going on here in seattle, governor jay inslee as you may remember ran for the democratic nomination until august of last year on a Climate Change platform, heres what he said when he was asked about what is going on in the district. That is news to me. So i will have to reserve any comment about it. I have not heard anything about that. Any credible source. Not that you are not credible. It is just before i spouse an opinion, i should know of which i speak. Martha a short time ago, President Trump had this to say on the topic with harris faulkner. We would not have the kind of devastation that you had in minneapolis and in seattle. I mean, we see what is going on, and i will tell you, let me straighten that situation out. We are going to straighten it out. Martha we will learn more about the interview that harris had with the president when she joins us in just a few moments. But we begin with and the no, editor at large of the postmillennial who reported on the ground in seattle and who did the interview that you saw with raz simone. It seems like there are a couple of narratives that are coming out of the story and seattle. And you saw how calm and relaxed governor inslee was about the whole thing. This is a quote from forbes that says that protesters have claimed the six block area of the capitol hill allowing individuals to enjoy them moving movie screenings, poetry performances, medical supplies and more in a makeshift campinga that is a prolonged demonstration against Police Brutality, is that we are reporters the ground . That is part of it, that is not the full picture. Its hard for me to overstate the anarchy that is on the streets in the neighborhood in the largest city in the pacific northwest. You have here who group of several hundred people who have laid fees to a terror trade and have claimed it as a separate political entity from the United States. And aside from images of then dancing and having a good time, they also have people going around who are armed and acting as security, and also border checkpoints. So to go through, you have to go through these physical barriers that have been set up, and it is complete anarchy, because the Police Precinct has been boarded up, the police have abandon it. So if you live in that area or run a business in that area, you are on your own. According to what Seattle Police said, they have been aware that some businesses are extorted for money inside there. Martha so who are those businesses to turn to if they are being extorted . There was one documented that was online that was giving people advice about chemicals and how there are Pool Companies in our district that may be might have some of these chemicals, that has been taken down, but where do they go . Who do they call if they are scared . Well, they are supposed to be calling the Seattle Police, but the Seattle Police are staying away, probably from pressure from politicians and local leaders who have expressed verbal support for this autonomous zone. I think you mentioned the chemicals posting that was posted in a forum that was set up in support of this socalled autonomous zone. It is more insidious than that. It was people giving directions on how to make chemical weapons based on what can be found around the area. So you have people who have the intent of potentially harming people who want to restore some type of order. And you have comrades who are coming with rifles and handguns. Martha so you had some of your folks speaking with raz simone, in the video that we showed and i watch the whole thing earlier, he is definitely trying to sort of deescalate the situation. He says that there are different groups here, there are different leaders who are here in this area, we are all sort of sorting things out. Its all just about community and figuring out how we will move forward and how we are going to maintain this place over the next however long they are going to be there. What did you make of his tone in that interview . From the live streams and videos that have been coming out since monday night when this entity was established, this person has made himself an unofficial leader going around with the bullhorn strapped with a long rifle on his body, and even those within the camp, the extremists say that they have no leaders, you know, in the absence of power, there will be those who will take advantage of the situation to elevate themselves. And i think potentially thats what we are seeing with this one individual, and others as well and i just hope that those who are stuck there, who live there and work there are no longer feared by the seattle politicians. Martha before i let you go, antifa, you have been studying this group for a long time. You claim that you are attacked by them. We have shown that video. Ive spoken to you about it on the program, why do you feel strongly that they are some of the leadership of this group. You can look at the messaging that is in the graffiti that is written all around. They are using the nt for slogans, and then on top of that, you look at all of the social media accounts that are amplifying this autonomous zone and calling for other zones to be established and other american cities. They are coming from antifa accounts. They are not hiding it. It is in plain sight in front of us, and those who are trying to obscure the reality are doing it for political reasons. Martha thank you so much. Good to have you with us tonight, and got to see the reporting on this Incredible Development that we are watching and seattle. And that we have concerns about and can spread to other places as well. Thank you very now is the direcr of matriarch, an organization that supports progressive women running for congress. Also a former surrogate of the Bernie Sanders campaign. I want to start, thank you, first of all, for joining me. I want to start by playing this. This is the chief of the Seattle Police department carmen bast addressing her officers today and talking about how she did not want to abandon their Police Precinct. Watch this. Leaving the precinct was not my decision, we fought for days to protect it. I asked you to stand on that line day in and day out, to be pelted with projectiles, screamed out, threaten, and in some cases hurt. Then to have a change of course nearly two weeks in, it seems like an insult to you in our community. Martha wow, this is astonishing. What goes through your mind . This woman is the chief of police in this department. She had to abandon her post. We saw the same thing happened in minneapolis. There is talk of this happening in portland next, do you find this disturbing . Not at all. I think what is happening is we have to keep in mind that cities across america historically over the last 15 years are safer than they have ever been in history. And yes, at the same time we are Funding Police departments 100 billion a year police departments. 80 billion a year on incarceration in jails. That means for every dollar that we spend in baltimore, every dollar we spend on police departments, we spend 0. 05 on jobs creation. So when you look at communities that are rising up, they are not rising up against an armed militarized police force. Its not like the police force did not have the upper hand here, they have been showing up in communities with militarized weaponry, which in many cases it is is outlawed to use overseas with other countries is a war crime, but you can do it on your own citizens. They are showing up in communities that are starving martha i have to jump in. Okay, who do you think is going to help these communities . And many of these communities, the people who called the most for help from the police are the people who live in the inner city and the poor areas, who are they going to call . Are they going to call the leaders of this group that has put themselves together . Who are they going to call . Lets just keep in mind that the calls are not happening. When crime is to reduce this much. Im not saying that because dont happen for police. But people are asked they are asking for defunding the police and reallocation of money. Its not about taking away the police. Its about giving the money back to communities. Martha i am sorry, your sound is coming in and out. I want to say two things. More people in these communities had jobs and employment before covid then they had in a very long time. In terms of job creation, we were headed in the right direction and we hope that those jobs will come back. Crime also has been falling, but nobody knows those things are completely, that chessboard has been tossed in the air when you cut back on the police. And these people who are they going to call . Raz simone to save them in the middle of the night of sunday breaks into their house . There is a direct correlation between Economic Development in cities and investing in schools and a reduction of crime, when you come in with over militarized police it has people want to defend themselves. And we are talking about the city where we see worse income equality in the country right now. Crime is down in the city. I want to reiterate that over and over again. Police are looking for ways to use their weapons right now, and as long as taxpayers keep finding that martha that is totally unfair. That is very unfair. You have a lot of Police Officers who have lost their lives. Im going to talk to one of their sisters, so the fact that to say that police are looking for ways to use their weapons against people is patting willie unfair. Of course there are people who have been bad actors, and we have seen them and showed their videos, and we have watched the prosecution. I did not say all police, i said some police. Martha thank you for joining us. Im sorry about the audio issues. Thank you for weighing in tonight. Coming up. President trump says if the situation continues down this track in seattle, he is going to have no choice but to step in. So exactly how and what would that look like from the federal government . Harris faulkner just sat down and interview the president pressing him for specifics. She joins me with more on her interview coming up next. Stay with us. Usaa was made for right now. And right now, is a time for action. So, for a second time were giving members a credit on their auto insurance. Because its the right thing to do. Were also giving Payment Relief options to eligible members so they can take care of things like groceries before they worry about their insurance or credit card bills. Right now is the time to take care of what matters most. Like weve done together, so many times before. Discover all the ways were helping members at usaa. Com coronavirus martha President Trump held a roundtable in dallas today discussing the disparity is that our nation is facing in the wake of George Floyds tragic death. Harris faulkner host of outnumbered over time sat down with President Trump for an interview. She joins me now. Good evening, harris. Hi, martha. Martha tell me about your discussion with the president. Obviously there is a lot to talk about. Absolutely. Look, central to just about anything we are talking about today has to do with what is going on in the streets of america right now. The Peaceful Protesters have not left many of the venues where they want their voices to be heard. So the president and i got into it about that. He does not like the way it is turned out. He is angry with the mayor of seattle and says that she does not push the rioters and the looters back, he is going to do it for her. If there were more toughness, we would not have the kind of devastation that you had in minneapolis and in seattle. I will tell you, if they dont straighten that situation out, we are going to straighten it out. What do you mean by that . I dont know if you caught it, but Governor Cuomo was so upset with bill de blasio coming his head im going to displease him, i dont know how that will work, is that we mean . We are not going to let seattle be occupied by anarchists. And im not calling the protesters i am i got to see a performance that i have never seen. I mean, you think that he was a weak person in minneapolis . A woman, i dont know, has she ever done this before . Martha mean in seattle . We are not going to let this happen in seattle, if we have to go in, we are going to go in. The governor could do it if he has a Great National guard troops, he can do it. One way or the other it is going to get done. People are not going to occupy a major portion of a great city. You know, martha, one of the things that struck me in the interview was how open the president was to talking about some of the tougher issues. And you know, it was time to press on some of those issues, because while he has touched on certain things, he has not done that traditional, which sometimes we will see from president s Oval Office Address on race or whatever. He said i want to concentrate on the economy, i want to concentrate on getting things back. But i told him, as a person of color, there is no glossing over, there is no kind of driving by the fact that some of his tweets during the protesting and some of the rioting and looting have been incendiary. I asked him specifically about one of those. You look at me, and i am harris on tv. But i am a black woman. I am a mom. And, you know, when and we talked about it, but we have not seen you come out and be that consoler in this instance, and the tweets, when the looting starts, the shooting starts, why those words . That is an expression that i have heard over the years. Do you know where it comes from . I think the mayor of philadelphia. No, it comes from 1967, i was about 18 months at the time, everyone is shooting, but it was from the chief of police in miami, he was cracking down, and he meant when he said. And he said i dont even care if it makes it look like brutality, im going to crack down when the looting starts, the shooting starts. That frightened a lot of people when you said that. It also comes from a very tough mayor who mightve been Police Commissioner named frank rizzo, and he had an expression like that, but i have heard it many times, it means two things, very different things. One is if there is looting, there is probably going to be shooting. And that is not a threat. Thats really just a fact, because thats what happens. And the other is if there is looting, there is going to be shooting. There are very different meanings. Do you think that most people see it like that . Martha, it was no holds barred. I ask about a lot of things from a perspective of a journalist, a person of color, and a mom. I explained to him why people had a visceral different reaction than he might have when george floyd cried out for his mom. Martha it is interesting, harris. And i thought that that was a fascinating exchange about that tweet, which got so much attention, and t to the president s poll numbers have been dropping lately during the handling of all of this. Did he signal to you what he would like to do to sort of turn that around . To be someone who is saying the things that needs to be said to bring people together . He said that his job is to make sure that people all across the country feel like they can get back some of what they lost. And i asked him, can you be the law and order president and also be that consoler and chief . And he said you have to be tough. He would not give in on that, but he also would not give in on some things that he sincerely feels will help. And thats what this roundtable today, this megachurch in dallas was about. And the one yesterday we saw with black business leaders, it is about economics for him. And those lowest unemployment numbers in a generation per people of color. Thats what he wants to regenerate. Thats where his focus is his transition to greatness. You have heard him say it. Martha fascinating. And obviously communities of color have been so hardhit by the coronavirus and by the economic fallout that came after that. He talked about that. Martha we cannot wait to see the rest of it. Fascinating exchange. Thank you so much, harris. Great to have you here tonight. Thank you. Thanks, martha. Martha fox news alert, just moments ago the u. S. Atto
